Are you thinking you have to battle the traffic near Franconia Notch
to enjoy the cooling power of a waterfall? Think again! You can have a picnic or take a hike just two miles north of Colebrook at Beaver Brook Falls.This area includes a small covered picnic area that can be used for gatherings or events. Pets on leashes are allowed in the park.
Don't be deceived by the geography in the area: it may seem flat and nondescript, but visitors discover a 30-foot waterfall, part of an 80-foot total drop. What also makes this a pleasing destination is that the fall can actually be viewed from your car, so those with small children, or those with mobility difficulties can enjoy the experience, as well.
Don't confuse this park with Beaver Brook in the Keene, NH area.
