With over 32,000 sq. ft. of interactive tide pools, exhibits and activities, Living Shores Aquarium is one of the few year-round attractions in the north country. It was established recently by the fine folks at Story Land. Numerous hands-on exhibits both entice and teach the entire family and there's plenty to see.

Our favorite is the otters. A handful of Asian Small Clawed Otters, curious, playful and mischievous will delight you with their hilarious antics. Weekend educational talks gather at this exhibit, and can really amp the educational component of your visit. Other exhibits include the Touch Ray Pool, the Large Invert Touch Pool, the Small Invert Touch Pool, the Shark Touch Pool, a Clownfish exhibit and reef exhibits among others.

The fishermen in your family will be delighted too ~ there is a trout exhibit (3 varieties) and a NH Species exhibit complete with warm water fish, including LargemouthBass, Catfish, and Yellow Perch.

There is a gift shop and an Italian restaurant on site, also storage lockers for you and a kennel for your pets. Children under the age of 3 are admitted free: pretty much the rest of us will pay $20 or more per head.
