As has been the case for several weeks now, it is hard to argue
As has been the case for several weeks now, it is hard to argue with the insider-sentiment data from Vickers Stock Research. With the caveat that transaction volume remains low due to trading restrictions during earnings season, we can pick any of the data points from Vickers and like what we see. When it comes to the one-week sell/buy ratios for indices, all of the major ratios from Vickers this week are lower (better) than they were last week, and that has kept all of the eight-week ratios in a trend that has been improving since August. On a sector basis, eight of the one-week sector ratios are currently bullish, two are neutral, and only one is bearish (with a mere five transactions in that sector). Turning to the eight-week sector ratios, nine sectors are bullish, two are neutral, and none are bearish. Indeed, there has not been a bearish eight-week ratio logged since August 24. Digging deeper, among the one-week sector ratios, the bullish sectors include the Consumer Discretionary, Consumer Staples, Financial, Healthcare, Industrial, Materials, Real Estate, and Utilities sectors. Meanwhile, the Energy and Information Technology sectors are neutral and the Communication Services sector is bearish. On an eight-week basis, the Communication Services and Information Technology sectors are both neutral, while all other sectors are bullish. In terms of movement between ratings, the Industrial and Materials sectors both improved their eight-week ratios from neutral to bullish over the past week. This week, analysts at Vickers highlighted insider transactions of interest at Pampa Energia S.A. (NYSE: PAM) and PepsiCo Inc. (NGS: PEP).
