When Will Those Receiving SSI and Social Security Receive Their April Payments
For those who are receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), the payment schedule is slightly different, and recipients can expect to see their April 2026 payments arrive:

April 3 for those receiving both SSI and receiving Social Security benefits prior to May 1997
Unsure if you should be receiving SSI payments? According to the Social Security Administration (SSA), these benefits are only paid out to those who qualify . In order to qualify, you need to be able to prove that you receive little to no other income, that you are limited in resources to be able to earn other income, or if you have a disability, blindness or are over the age of 65.

What to Do if Your Social Security Payments Don't Arrive
If you believe that your payment should've arrived and it hasn't, you should first contact your bank or financial institution to see if there was a delay in posting the payment. If the bank says that it didn't receive your payment, you can reach out to the SSA directly by calling 1-800-772-1213.
You can also contact your local Social Security office as well, which may be faster if the national line is experiencing long wait times. If it's determined that your payment has been stolen or is missing, the agency will be able to help you get a new payment issued.
