Active Energy Group PLC (AIM:AEG, OTCID:AEUSF), in its results statement, highlighted that it generated its first revenue in the first half of 2026 as its UAE digital infrastructure business moved into commercial operations, though its cash balance fell to £170,504 at the period end.
Revenue came in at £159,885, against nil a year earlier, following the April energisation of the 3.5MVA Ghummud facility. The loss for the six months widened to £855,712 from £429,746 as operating activity increased and the company incurred higher depreciation and professional costs.
AEG raised £1.3 million gross, or roughly £1.14 million net, through a May placing. It is now discussing a potential debt facility with a private investment fund to support near-term liquidity, though no binding agreement has been reached. The board said its going-concern assessment assumes completion of that funding.
Operational momentum continued beyond the half-year, with Ghummud generating US$319,637 in the three months to July 31.
AEG is also progressing the proposed 8MVA Liwa facility and remains in discussions with Bitdeer Middle East Technology over a potential strategic collaboration.
