Q: Could you give an indication of the costs related to fixing the Christmas tree issue at Gan West South? Also, why do you continue to hedge so much of your production despite being in a net cash position? And could you provide an update on dividend payments as Besla is nearing production? A: The costs associated with fixing the Christmas tree issue at Gan West South are around $40 to $50 million. Regarding hedging, we have not entered into any new hedges recently as we are currently cash positive and moving into a more investment-light period. As for dividends, we have alluded to potential dividends once Besla is in operation and we are starting to move into a more CapEx light period. We are seeing positive developments that improve the visibility of dividend payments in the near future. (CEO Svein Leknes and CFO Bert de Noorim)
Q: Can you provide a more precise expected start-up window for Garn West South and quantify how much production is assumed from the well in the revised 2026 guidance? A: The startup window for Garn West South is mid-August, with the aim to start production before the planned shutdown on Draugen on September 2nd. We do not break down guidance for individual wells, but when Garn West South is in production, the net production to Okea is approximately 6,500 barrels of oil per day. (CEO Svein Leknes)
Q: What is the exploration and development plan for the recent farm-in to PL 1255 and 1255B, Predor? A: There is no firm plan yet. This is part of our high grading of our portfolio and the divestment of a prospect called K2. We are now the operator there, and it is part of our overall exploration portfolio, which we are continuously high grading. (CEO Svein Leknes)
Q: Why did you sell Mistral when the discovery had a development pathway and an operator keen to fast track? A: The decision to sell Mistral was based on the payment from the transaction, which can be used for other development opportunities in the Brage area and elsewhere. Mistral was not in our strategic area, and we received a fair price for it, demonstrating that exploration can generate value even before production starts. (CEO Svein Leknes)
Q: Can you give us a sense of the forecast production levels at Brage from 2027 onwards? Will you be pushing up against facility capacity? A: Yes, we are pushing up against facility capacity, which is why we are increasing it. Besla will come on stream early 2027, and Taliska West discovery is expected in the second half of 2027. We do not break down guidance by asset, but increasing capacity at Brage is a positive challenge. (CEO Svein Leknes)
