We recently released our ranking of the 10 Stocks That Could Skyrocket in 2027 , and TransMedics Group (NASDAQ:TMDX) ranked 9th.

SpaceX's public debut in June gave investors a new yardstick for how fast a space-linked stock can move, in both directions. Since then, shares of newer space companies have swung hard around SpaceX's latest report.

Yahoo Finance reported on October 21 that SpaceX opened with its biggest jump since the debut, after third-quarter revenue and profit beat Wall Street estimates. The company's AI business now brings in nearly half of its sales.

A Tesla Tie-Up Could Reshape Musk's Orbit

Elon Musk said on the earnings call that SpaceX and Tesla have each formed special committees of independent directors to study a combination, and that he cannot take part in the decision as a conflicted party, Yahoo Finance reported. Gene Munster of Deepwater Asset Management puts the odds of a deal within two years at 95%. A merged company would be worth about $3.5 trillion.

Starlink drives the numbers. Connectivity revenue rose 69% to $5.2 billion, and President Gwynne Shotwell said the service added 1.6 million subscribers in the quarter. Bloomberg reported that SpaceX is seeking to lease space on 80,000 US cell sites to build a terrestrial network, and is in talks with Crown Castle and American Tower.

Spending is rising too. Chris Versace of Tematica Research wrote on October 21 that SpaceX's plan to spend $35 billion to $40 billion in the fourth quarter points to a new and higher level of capital spending than the market expected. He noted that a $63 billion backlog supports it.

Emmet Savage of MyWallSt calls TransMedics the third of his three potential 100-baggers, and says the company has built something close to a monopoly on keeping human organs alive for transplant. His pitch, delivered alongside Porter Stansberry, centers on a machine that replaces the 50-year-old ice-bucket method for moving donor organs.

TransMedics sells separate portable systems that keep a heart, lungs or a liver working outside the body, with a kidney system heading into clinical trials. Savage says revenue is growing 100% while the rest of the medical sector is flat. He points out that the company flies organs on its own fleet of aircraft, which he sees as a second business sitting on top of the devices.

The argument is that this combination of devices and logistics works as a high-margin engine that is quietly taking over a $10 billion industry. Savage says the company has no competition in the FDA-approved market for these systems. Once more investors notice how hard that position would be to copy, he thinks the stock could become a massive winner. He describes it as a business that has essentially built a monopoly on life itself.
