BridgeBio Pharma(NASDAQ: BBIO) is a biotech on the verge of a breakout. The company focuses on rare genetic diseases. It has only two approved therapies right now: Attruby and Nulibry.

Attruby is the company's main earner right now. The drug treats transthyretin-mediated amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM), a rare type of heart disease. The drug was responsible for 71% of the company's revenue in the third quarter.

Nulibry is designed to treat infants with molybdenum cofactor deficiency, a rare disease that can lead to seizures and brain abnormalities.

BridgeBio has three other therapies that could launch in the coming months, which is one reason the stock has risen more than 6% over the past month. Here are three reasons to consider buying BridgeBio stock.

It's facing imminent regulatory catalysts

The company is positioned at a major inflection point with its pipeline heading into late 2026 and 2027. It has three key milestones coming up.

The first is BBP-418, which could become the first treatment for limb-girdle muscular dystrophy type 2i, a rare genetic disorder that leads to muscle weakness and wasting. The company just announced positive phase 3 trial results, and the therapy has a target Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) date of Nov. 27 with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Oral infigratinib, which performed well in a phase 3 trial to treat achondroplasia, the most common cause of dwarfism, has a Feb. 4 PDUFA date and is under priority review. The drug is designed to promote bone growth by reducing the overactivity of the FGFR3 gene. The therapy is also being examined as a treatment for hypochondroplasia, another cause of dwarfism.

Encaleret, after positive phase 3 trials, has a PDUFA date of May 8 to treat autosomal dominant hypocalcemia type 1 (ADH1), a rare genetic hormonal disorder.

Securing these regulatory green lights will significantly diversify BridgeBio's commercial portfolio beyond its initial core market. The company, in its third-quarter report, said its field teams, including sales staff, were already in place for all three therapies.

Attruby is starting to take off

BridgeBio's third-quarter 2026 financial report highlighted strong commercial execution, driven heavily by its primary revenue driver.

The company posted total third-quarter revenues of $353.2 million, up 193% year over year. That increase was led by $253.2 million in U.S. net product revenue for Attruby, its core therapy.

The company also improved its earnings per share (EPS) loss to $0.42, compared to an EPS loss of $0.95 in the same period a year ago.

A stronger balance sheet will support its expansion

Recent strategic financing moves, such as closing a $1 billion preferred equity financing partnership with backers that include Sixth Street and HealthCare Royalty, have provided the company with more financial resilience.

The company has more than $1.5 billion in cash, nearly 3 times as much as it had in the same quarter a year ago.

This means that BridgeBio is well capitalized to fund upcoming commercial rollouts and pipeline expansions without facing near-term liquidity pressure.

BridgeBio is negating many risk concerns

There are still many questions for BridgeBio, as it focuses on rare therapies with relatively low patient populations. However, with three drugs lined up for potential FDA approval, the odds don't look quite as long for a breakout.

Relatively small biotechs come with a degree of risk, but BridgeBio's scientific breakthroughs could easily lead to continued revenue growth, a good reason to buy the stock before it soars.
