Nine Mile Metals Ltd. (CSE:NINE, OTCID:VMSXF, FRA:KQ9) has reported assay results from drill hole DDH WD-26-10 at the Wedge Mine in New Brunswick's Bathurst Mining Camp, with the hole intersecting a 31.95-metre massive sulphide zone grading 2.52% copper equivalent.
The hole was collared in the southwest at the edge of the company's drill pattern and was drilled to a depth of 224 metres. The mineralized interval, from 109 to 140.95 metres, averaged 0.93% copper, 0.57% lead, 2.23% zinc, 24.89 grams per tonne silver and 0.49 grams per tonne gold.
Within the broader intersection, a 14.15-metre interval graded 3.73% copper equivalent, including 4.15 metres grading 5.16% copper equivalent. The 14.15-metre section averaged 0.98% copper, 1.14% lead, 4.67% zinc, 38.94 grams per tonne silver and 0.68 grams per tonne gold.
The company described the mineralization as massive pyritic volcanogenic massive sulphide, or VMS, with locally visible chalcopyrite, sphalerite and galena. The host rocks include felsic volcanics and sediments.
Nine Mile noted that copper was dominant in the upper portion of the lens, while silver, gold, lead and zinc grades increased at depth. The reported intervals are of true width.
An individual sample from 136 to 137.15 metres returned 67 grams per tonne silver, 0.98 grams per tonne gold, 2.37% copper, 1.26% lead and 8.76% zinc, corresponding to 7.04% copper equivalent. Another sample from 135 to 136 metres returned 41 grams per tonne silver, 0.96 grams per tonne gold, 2.3% copper, 0.94% lead and 4.32% zinc, corresponding to 5.26% copper equivalent.
"Drilling continues to expand the mineralized footprint in the southwest," Nine Mile VP exploration and director Gary Lohman said in a statement.
"As with DDH WD-26-07, we see a variation in the distribution of the mineralization, with this hole highlighting increased assay values for Ag, Au, Pb and Zn at depth, further demonstrating the multi-element value of the Wedge."
Nine Mile CEO and director Patrick Cruickshank added that the latest hole also provided additional information on the character of the mineralized lens, particularly at depth.
"This drill hole continues to demonstrate the deposit's economic viability. I am very pleased to see that this hole is very strong in Silver and Zinc. The hole also gets stronger at depth, and the Lens becomes more characteristic of the VMS Model," Cruickshank said.
Nine Mile said its technical team is continuing to develop a 3D model of the deposit as the company advances work toward a new NI 43-101 technical report and mineral resource estimate.
The copper-equivalent figures combine copper, lead, zinc, silver and gold using metal prices as of August 26, 2026, and assume a uniform 95% metallurgical recovery for all five metals. The company noted that the copper-equivalent grades are for comparative purposes and do not represent recoverable metal.
Shares of Nine Mile gained over 10% on Thursday.
