When you wish upon a star, it seems Walt Disney(NYSE: DIS) investors had a pretty good month in October. The shares rose 6% for the month, a welcome contrast to a declining market. The stock even inched higher on Friday as the overall market tumbled.
Can Disney keep the upticks coming as we head into the holiday season? There will be a big financial update in November, as well as a high-profile theatrical release. Let's take a closer look at some of the days that Disney investors should circle for the month ahead.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »

Disney stock should be on the move -- one way or the other -- come Nov. 17. That's when the House of Mouse reports fourth-quarter results for fiscal 2026.
Expectations are high. Analysts see revenue rising 12% to $25.2 billion. That may not seem like a lot, but it would be Disney's first quarter of double-digit percentage revenue growth in more than three years. The news should be even better on the bottom line. Those same Wall Street pros see earnings per share soaring to $1.69, a 52% year-over-year jump.
Disney has been a standout among media stocks that have largely languished this year. The shares may have been flat over the past year, but most other leading U.S. media moguls have posted double-digit percentage declines. A strong report along with a healthy outlook can pad Disney's October gains.

Disney loves releasing family-friendly fare over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Frozen , Toy Story , and Tangled are just some of the successful animated theatrical features it's released in late November. It has also had a few whiffs.
Hexed opens the day before Thanksgiving, giving it a five-day holiday weekend of screenings to draw families and Disney fans of all ages. The latest Disney original full-length animated feature follows an awkward teen and her demanding mother as they learn the teen's social shortcomings could be magic powers. It's fodder that's adjacent to some of Disney's bigger Thanksgiving weekend releases. I'm looking at you, Frozen and, to a lesser extent, Tangled .
It's not likely to become Disney's latest film to top $1 billion in worldwide ticket sales the way that Toy Story 5 did this summer. It doesn't have to. Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday should be the top draw of 2026. It hits theaters in December.

On the theme park front, Disney's EPCOT in Florida lives and thrives by its many festival seasons. The latest season starts the day after Thanksgiving. The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays features kiosks throughout the park selling seasonal food and beverages from various countries and culinary styles. It opens just six days after the end of the larger EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
The festival continues through Dec. 30. The park will also feature celebrity holiday readings, decor, and a new holiday-tweaked soundtrack for its popular Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster, as well as other seasonal overlays for its slower-paced attractions.
