Five dividend payers go ex-dividend within the next four trading days, so the window to qualify for their next payments is closing. The highest yield in the group belongs to Plains GP Holdings( NASDAQ:PAGP ), at roughly 5.8% on an indicated annual distribution of $1.67. The four banks on this list pay lower yields, but they offer plenty of earnings behind each payment. Every one of these payments goes ex this week but arrives in November.

How the deadline works:to collect the dividend, you need to own the shares before the ex-dividend date. The pay date is just the day the cash shows up. Trades now settle in one business day, so you must buy before the ex-date.

NB Bancorp (NBBK): First Deadline Lands Wednesday

NB Bancorp( NASDAQ:NBBK ) pays a quarterly dividend of $0.07 and has an ex-dividend date of October 29, 2026. That makes Wednesday, October 28, the last day to buy. Payment is set for November 12. The yield is just 1.21%, partly because shares have gained 33.53% over the past year to $23.53.

Coverage is wide. Trailing diluted EPS of $1.67 against a $0.28 annual dividend yields a payout ratio near 17%. Third-quarter adjusted EPS came in at $0.60, beating the $0.58 estimate. The stock trades at about 14 times earnings. Credit quality is the thing to watch: nonperforming loans rose to 0.53% from 0.43%.

Plains GP Holdings (PAGP): A 5.8% Yield With a Thursday Cutoff

The quarterly distribution is $0.4175. The ex-dividend date is October 30, 2026, so Thursday, October 29, is the last day to buy, and the cash pays out November 13. The yield is still rich even after a big rally. Shares have risen 77.31% over the past year to $29, and the yield remains high even at that higher price.

For a midstream partnership structure, distributable cash flow is the right test. As a stand-in, look at operating cash flow. Plains generated $955 million in the June quarter and paid out $83 million in distributions, about 8.7%. Those are consolidated figures, though, and much of that cash belongs to unitholders of the operating partnership, so the real buffer is thinner than it looks.

Pro forma 2025 EPS of $0.68 per Class A share is below the payout, which shows why GAAP earnings are the wrong measure here. On the track record, the distribution rose from $0.3175 in 2024 to $0.38 in 2025 and $0.4175 in 2026. It was cut from $0.36 to $0.18 in 2020.

RBB Bancorp (RBB): 16 Straight Payments at $0.16

RBB Bancorp( NASDAQ:RBB ) pays $0.16 per share. The ex-dividend date is October 30, 2026; the last day to buy is October 29, and payment is due November 12. At $26.32, the yield is about 2.4%.

Third-quarter EPS of $0.74 beat the $0.58 consensus, for a quarterly payout ratio near 22%. That EPS figure includes a one-time gain of $0.12 per share from selling a Brooklyn office building. Without the gain, the payout ratio is still only about 26%. Nonperforming assets dropped 11% from the prior quarter. The dividend has held at $0.16 for the last 16 recorded payments, making it reliable but showing no growth during that time.

Ohio Valley Banc (OVBC): Bigger Dividend, Softer Quarter

Ohio Valley Banc( NASDAQ:OVBC ) declared a $0.25 per share dividend. The ex-dividend date is October 30, 2026, with October 29 as the last day to buy and payment on November 10. That works out to about a 2.1% yield at $46.89. The bank raised its dividend from $0.23 in April.

June-quarter net income fell to $2.93 million, down from $4.21 million a year earlier. Using the share count implied by its $221.5 million market cap, the quarterly dividend would take up about 40% of that quarter's profit. That's still covered, but with less room than at the other banks here. Full-year 2025 net income rose to $15.6 million from $11.0 million.

Old Second Bancorp (OSBC): A Fresh Raise Ahead of Friday

Old Second Bancorp( NASDAQ:OSBC ) lifted its quarterly dividend to $0.08 from $0.07. The ex-dividend date is October 30, 2026; the last day to buy is October 29, and payment comes on November 9. The forward yield is about 1.3%.

Third-quarter net income was $28.9 million, which suggests a payout of roughly 14%. The weak spot is credit. In the first quarter, provisions rose to $9.50 million from $3.00 million, driven by PowerSport charge-offs and a Chicago office loan.

Miss the Cutoff, Miss the Check

Buying on or after the ex-date means that payment goes to the seller. Also, shares typically drop by roughly the dividend amount on the ex-date, so collecting a single payment rarely adds up to a strategy on its own. These five are worth looking at because of the coverage behind their payouts, and the deadline only determines when that research has to be finished.
