Addtech (OM:ADDT B) Stock Price Cools After Q2 Earnings Strength

Addtech AB went into its Q2 2027 report with a premium story and a premium P/E of 36.1x. Yet the share closed on 22 October at SEK308.4 after drifting roughly 10% lower over the past month. The fresh numbers show total revenue of SEK5,907m and net income of SEK570m, which puts the focus squarely on how much investors are paying for that earnings power. You are seeing a stock priced for quality that just delivered solid profitability. The gap between a rich valuation and a cooling share price is where the real debate now sits.

Addtech margins: acquisition thesis passes first test

The bullish story hinges on Addtech using M&A and mix to keep margins healthy while it grows.

"The main thing that has to go right is that Addtech AB continues to improve its product mix and pricing while integrating acquired companies without eroding its EBITA margin, which recently has been around 16% to 17%."

Q2 earnings show revenue up about 8% and net income up about 18%. EPS rose about 28% and trailing net margin improved from 8.9% to 9.8%. That points to better profitability while the acquisition machine keeps running. For now, this report supports the idea that integration and pricing are working together rather than diluting returns.

Addtech risks: order timing and weak niches still bite

The bear side worries that backlog and soft pockets eventually pull profitability the other way.

"Customer hesitancy around larger capital expenditure projects, especially in Process related businesses where projects are being postponed rather than cancelled, may persist and delay conversion of a strong quotation and order backlog into realized sales."

Q2 shows healthy income growth and a stronger trailing net margin, so postponed projects are not yet dragging group results. That said, management still flags Process investments and weak areas like sawmills and construction safety. The concern is not visible in current earnings quality, but the commentary keeps this risk very much alive for future quarters.

Hunt For Quiet Quality Disconnects

Addtech AB (publ.) just showed how a premium P/E can coexist with steadier profitability and a cooling share price. The real opportunity is spotting stocks that could be undervalued before the market resets the story.

  • Company 1 - 24% below our estimate - expands performing loan books as corporate demand recovers and mortgage activity strengthens in underpenetrated consumer segments.

  • Company 2 - 30% below our estimate - uses a deep prosthetics and neuro-orthotics pipeline plus reimbursement gains to bring more patients into its care network.

  • Company 3 - 44% below our estimate - turns a swelling maintenance and digital services order book into higher margin work as equipment demand becomes more uneven.
