Boeing ( BA ) has secured a new commitment from Turkish Airlines covering as many as 150 737 Max jets, adding another large aircraft purchase as the carrier expands its network and fleet, according to a Wednesday press release.
The agreement consists of 100 firm orders for 737-8 aircraft and options for 50 additional jets. Turkish Airlines can also replace some of those selections with the larger 737-10 model.
The purchase follows a widebody deal from 2025 covering as many as 75 787 Dreamliners. Boeing said the latest transaction is Turkish Airlines' biggest single-aisle order from the company.
Turkish Airlines and its AJet subsidiary operate more than 200 Boeing aircraft spanning 737 Max, 737 Next-Generation, 777 and 787 models, along with 777 freighters. The airline has 567 passenger and cargo aircraft serving 358 destinations in 133 countries.
The 737-8s are intended for domestic and international routes. Boeing also said the agreement includes industrial participation in Turkiye's aviation sector, but financial details and the scope of that work were not provided. Discussions over the purchase began in 2025.
