Elanders closed Friday at SEK50. The share has drifted over the past week, yet Q3 2026 numbers just dropped with a very different story. Group organic revenue reached SEK3,052m and the quarter swung to a net loss of SEK7m, putting profit quality and cost control firmly in focus.
In the short term, that loss will catch the eye. The more important angle is the pressure showing up in margins and how that fits with a trailing P/E of 23.3x and interest costs that earnings have not fully covered. That is where the real debate on the stock now sits.

Elanders margins: execution milestones start to show
Supporters of Elanders argue that cost work and contract wins should harden profitability over time. The latest quarter gives some early, if mixed, datapoints.
"Bullish analysts expect Elanders to keep turning cost efficiency work, online print contracts and the growing Asia footprint into higher and more resilient margins."
Supply Chain Solutions moved adjusted EBITA to SEK204m with an 8.2% margin and strong cash conversion, which lines up with that margin resilience claim. Group adjusted EBITA of SEK210m at a 6.9% margin, broadly flat year on year, suggests efficiency gains and early Asia volume support are largely offset by weak Print & Packaging, where margins remain low despite the online print contract.

Elanders bearish utilisation worries meet mixed evidence
The harsher thesis hangs on stop start demand and idle sheds crimping earnings in Elanders.
"Bearish analysts expect Elanders to keep facing stop start customer demand in key regions, which would limit the benefit from recent organic growth in Supply Chain Solutions and leave the group exposed to setbacks such as weak German automotive manuals and fluctuating electronics orders."
Q3 shows some of that playing out. German automotive print is clearly hurting Print & Packaging, with only a 2.9% margin and restructuring ahead. Electronics grew only slightly as chip shortages persisted. At the same time, 7% organic expansion in Supply Chain Solutions and an 8.2% margin indicate that stop start patterns are not yet choking the main logistics engine.
Hunt For Quiet Mispricings
Elanders just reminded investors that earnings stories and share prices do not always move in sync. The real opportunity sits in finding stocks that could be undervalued before the market closes the gap.
