Komzifti Commercial Momentum Drives KURA's Growth

Komzifti delivered strong momentum in its second full quarter following its commercial launch in 2025. It is an FDA-approved menin inhibitor for the treatment of patients with relapsed/refractory NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The therapy is demonstrating rapid market adoption. In the second quarter of 2026, net product revenues reached $9.1 million, up 57% sequentially, while new patient starts increased 35% compared with the first quarter of 2026. The company witnessed a 59% sequential increase in prescription volume. This rapid uptake provides investors with greater confidence in the product's ability to generate sustained revenue growth and potentially establish a leadership position across the AML treatment landscape.

Ziftomenib Has Significant Expansion Potential in AML

Investor sentiment has also improved as Kura is pursuing ziftomenib across a much broader AML treatment landscape. Long-term data from the early-stage KOMET-007 study showed strong activity with ziftomenib plus intensive chemotherapy, including 96% and 90% composite complete remission (CRc) rates in NPM1-mutated and KMT2A-rearranged AML, respectively, while combination data with venetoclax and azacitidine demonstrated an 87% overall response rate and 70% CRc rate in venetoclax-naïve patients. These results increase confidence in the ongoing KOMET-017 frontline registrational program and support the potential for ziftomenib to move beyond its current indication into earlier lines of AML treatment.

KURA's Multiple Near-Term Pipeline Catalysts

Kura has several value-creating catalysts ahead. The company expects additional ziftomenib data from the KOMET-007, KOMET-008 and KOMET-001 studies during the second half of 2026, including frontline combinations and activity in additional genetically defined AML populations. The ongoing phase III KOMET-017 program is particularly important because successful development could expand ziftomenib into frontline AML and materially increase its addressable market.

Darlifarnib Provides a Second Pipeline Growth Opportunity

KURA's pipeline is not solely dependent on ziftomenib. Darlifarnib, its farnesyl-transferase inhibitor, is being evaluated in solid tumors. Early clinical data showed encouraging activity when combined with targeted therapies, including adagrasib in KRAS G12C-mutated tumors and cabozantinib in clear-cell renal cell carcinoma. These findings support darlifarnib's potential as a precision-combination platform across multiple targeted therapies and tumor types.

Kura's Financial Position Supports Pipeline Execution

Kura ended the second quarter of 2026 with $519.0 million in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments, supplemented by $180 million in anticipated collaboration payments from Kyowa Kirin. Management expects these resources to fund the ziftomenib AML program through topline results from the KOMET-017 study, anticipated in 2028.
