Investing.com -- Shares in Nordex jumped 13% in early Frankfurt trading Friday after the German onshore wind turbine maker reported third-quarter core profit well above expectations and raised its full-year margin forecast a day earlier.
Preliminary EBITDA rose to about €278 million from €136 million a year earlier, roughly doubling and beating a company-compiled consensus by 15%. The EBITDA margin widened to 12.7% from 8%. Revenue climbed to about €2.19 billion from €1.71 billion, and free cash flow rose to €379 million from €149 million.
Nordex now expects a 2026 EBITDA margin of 11.5% to 12.5%, up from its previous range of 8.0% to 11.0%. "The Q3 results exceeding expectations and the improved outlook are driven by higher margins in the Service segment and strong project execution, while risks assumed in the Projects segment for the previous guidance did not materialize to the extent anticipated," Nordex said.
Nordex will publish full third-quarter results on Nov. 5.
