Investing.com -- Plus500 said Monday that its 2026 revenue and EBITDA are expected to come in ahead of current market expectations, after the trading platform operator reported third-quarter revenue growth of 11%. The company, which operates in over-the-counter and exchange-traded markets, said the outlook reflects accelerating momentum across the group.
The company's shares rose 3.6% in London trading by 08:25 GMT.
Third-quarter revenue was $203.2 million, up from $182.7 million a year earlier. EBITDA rose 7% to $88.4 million, a margin of 44%. For the first nine months, revenue rose 11% to $666.1 million and EBITDA rose 3% to $275.9 million. Plus500 said the slower EBITDA growth reflects deliberate investment in marketing technology to attract higher-value customers, along with expanding operations.
New customers rose 27% in the quarter to 28,747, while the cost of acquiring each active customer fell 14% to $1,150, a combination the company said is hard to achieve. Active customers rose 4% to 119,528, and revenue per user rose 7% to $1,700. Customer income, which the company calls a key gauge of underlying performance, rose 9% in the quarter to $180.3 million.
In the U.S., the non-OTC business made up about 16% of group revenue and 31% of new customers for the year to date. Customer segregated funds passed $1 billion.
Plus500 ended September with no debt and more than $775 million in cash, after paying an $87.4 million dividend and buying back about $63.5 million of shares in the quarter.
