Thule Group (OM:THULE) Stock Drifts As Q3 Earnings Highlight RV Weakness

Thule Group just reported Q3 2026 and the stock is limping into the print. The share price slipped about 3% over the past week and almost 11% over three months, even as the latest quarter produced SEK 2,603m in sales and SEK 3.65 in basic earnings per share.

The market is trading the short term mood. The fundamentals are telling a different story, with a 20% Q3 EBIT margin and strong cash generation pointing to a business that is tightening its profitability even while sentiment cools.

Thule margin mix thesis meets key Q3 milestones

The bullish story says Thule Group can lean on champion categories, richer channels and cost work to lift profitability without relying on breakneck sales growth.

"The main factor that needs to go right is continued execution on the efficiency program and champion category focus, so that higher gross margins and lower SG&A can move the company closer to its 20% EBIT margin target."

Q3 EBIT margin at 20% and a 17.3% LTM margin show that target is now reality, not aspiration. SG&A as a share of sales moved lower and operating cash flow of SEK 791m confirms that cost and mix actions are flowing through to cash generation.

Thule risk narrative on RV and capacity under real pressure

The bear story argues that RV dependence and underused factories could quietly chip away at earnings power even while group margins look healthy.

"Roughly 15% to 17% of Thule Group's sales come from RV products and management now expects weaker motorhome registrations in Europe to affect RV demand in the second half of 2026, which could reduce revenue and limit profit contribution from this historically important category."

That concern is visible already. RV Products saw Q3 organic sales decline 5% and YTD fall 3%. Management also reports plants running below earlier expansion levels. This means the current 20% EBIT margin is being achieved despite this drag, not with help from it.
