Investing.com-- Xiaomi Corp (HK:1810) shares rose sharply on Friday after the company's newly launched SkyNomad electric vehicle line clocked strong orders in its first month of availability.
Xiaomi jumped 7.6% to HK$25.46 and was among the best performers on the Hang Seng index, which jumped 1.3%.
Xiaomi said in a social media post that the new models– the Skynomad N90 and the Skynomad N70– had clinched 70,000 orders in their first month of availability.

The company also delivered over 10,000 Skynomad vehicles in September, which drove its total car deliveries in the period to over 40,000 units for the month, which was its best monthly performance so far in 2026.
The strong sales figures helped spur renewed optimism over Xiaomi's prospects in the hotly competitive Chinese EV market. The Skynomad line adds to the company's SU7 and YU7 pure EV offerings.
The new line differs from Xiaomi's prior EV offerings by including an internal combustion engine to further supplement range.
