5 hottest side events that lit up TOKEN2049

This year, TOKEN2049 in Singapore did not only rely on panels during the day to capture the industry's interest. The evenings featured a steady stream of networking, music, and culture, which led founders, investors, and builders to a more progressive way of connecting.

Web3 Founders & Investors Cocktail Party @Iconic Cé La Vi

Here's a look at four of the hottest side events — each adding its own flavor to Asia's biggest Web3 week. Co-hosted by Roundtable, Polymath and Sapien RWA Labs, the trio supporting one of the most elite nights of TOKEN2049.

With sweeping views of the city and the South China Sea, the evening was designed to be a sophisticated networking event, featuring cocktails, dining, and an opportunity for introductions to evolve into partnerships.

The organizers prioritized intimacy over size, ensuring a private guest list. Attendees later called it the "night Web3 met the skyline"- a night of experiences remembered long after TOKEN2049 turned off the lights.

The Best Event with Mario Nawfal & TBV

If at Cé La Vi it was about exclusivity, at MARQUEE Singapore it was about scale. On Sept 29, Mario Nawfal and The Best Vibes (TBV) hosted what was dubbed "The Best Event," and it lived up to its title. With an attendance of over 5,600 confirmed fans, this was one of the largest parties of the week!

Co-sponsored by Roundtable, the lineup featured high-energy sets from international DJs, including Topic, alongside a wealth of local talent, such as Jade Rasif and Kim Sane.

The event provided an experience that left one almost overwhelmed, including thumping bass lines and amazing visual displays. The networking beneath the lights, on the other hand, was what stood out. The large dance floor and lounges at MARQUEE let investors, builders, and media teams blend business with fun.

Oceanic Night by Kraken, Hedera, EVG & CertiK

Oceanic Night, co-hosted by Kraken , Hedera, EVG, and CertiK, was another big hit at MARQUEE Singapore on Sept 30. It was described as a meeting of the next generation, combining music and immersive visuals with serious discussions on compliance, security, and innovation.

Oceanic Night, which ran from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m., focused on Kraken's most recent listing accomplishments and CertiK's expanding role in protecting more than $600 billion in digital assets. Regulators and ecosystem builders discussed the future phase of Web3, while Odd Mob and OkayVal kept the dance floor going.

Behind closed doors: Bitget's UEX & wallet reveal

Some events were more about the show, but Bitget preferred to be mysterious. "Behind Closed Doors: Sips & Secrets of UEX & Wallet" was framed as more of a revelation than a presentation.

Only a small group of partners and visitors were invited. As the event went on, guests sipped on premium wines, classic champagnes, and curated cocktails while learning about the world's first Universal Exchange (UEX).

Guests also received a first peek at the Bitget Wallet roadmap, which aims to provide a new way for millions of people to use Web3.

Avalanche Happy Hour with Dexalot, Playfull & Pixelmon

Not every Token2049 side event needed big clubs and flashy things to stand out. Ava Labs held the Avalanche Happy Hour on October 1. It was a relaxed but still community-driven event where people could network over burgers, beverages, and swag.

Avalanche's event differed from the other, more exclusive or big productions of the week, as it was all about bringing together Web3 users, developers, builders, and fans in a meaningful way. The focus was on making things easy to access and talking to people.

Token2049's side events, which took place on rooftops and in megaclubs, demonstrated that networking is effective after hours. Roundtable's support of "The Best Event" made it a top player in the crypto world.
