A pseudonymous crypto analyst known for accurately calling Bitcoin's 2021 bear market is warning that Solana (SOL) may face steep losses, while Bitcoin (BTC) shows signs of strength if it can hold key support.
DonAlt told his 695,200 followers on X on Nov. 12 that Solana's chart is among "the most bearish" high-timeframe setups he's seen in months, after failing to clear resistance near $208.
The trader said SOL could drop more than 21% from current levels if it doesn't reclaim the $190 to $215 range.
"Pretty simple, reclaim the red box ($190-$215) and it recovers structurally,"DonAlt wrote. "Until then, it's still ragingly bearish and only interesting for a (temporary) bounce from range low."
At press time, Solana traded at $153, down 2% over the past 24 hours. The analyst suggested a fall toward $120, "is still happening after all," unless buyers step in soon.

While bearish on Solana, DonAlt remains cautiously optimistic about Bitcoin. He said BTC could see a "bullish close" on the weekly chart as long as it stays above the $104,000 level.
"This is gonna be a cute close," he wrote. "Sun-setting bearishness unless we lose the range high at $104,700."
The trader noted that if BTC drops below $90,000, its bullish structure could break down temporarily — but until then, the setup remains intact.
"BTC has a potential bullish setup,"DonAlt said. "So I don't know if that bullish setup fails $90,000, but we're not there yet."
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was down 1.2% and trading at $100,332, while Solana was down 1.5% and trading at $150.11.
