Justin Sun asks to unlock his WLFI tokens in desperate plea

Billionaire crypto entrepreneur Justin Sun's address has been blacklisted after he transferred Trump-linked WLFI tokens worth $9 million, the on-chain intelligence platform Arkham highlighted on X on Sep. 4.

WLFI is the native token of the Trump family's crypto venture, World Liberty Financial, that made its open trading debut on Sep. 1.

The Trump Organisation executive vice-president Eric Trump (R), World Liberty Financial co-founder Zach Witkoff (C) and cryptomoney exchange Tron Justin Sun (L), participate in a session during the Token 2049 crypto conference in Dubai on May 1, 2025.

When WLFI opened for trading, Sun claimed his 20% unlock of $200 million in WLFI tokens. He holds WLFI tokens worth $891.2 million in total, Arkham noted .

"He says he is not selling anytime soon."

Sun was one of the earliest investors in the crypto venture in November 2024 when he invested $75 million into World Liberty Financial.

To the latest development, Sun  responded on X , "Our address only conducted a few generic exchange deposit tests, with very low amounts, and then created address dispersion, without involving any buying or selling, which could not possibly have any impact on the market." (Grok translation)

Sun later asked for his "unreasonably frozen"tokens to be unlocked. "Tokens are sacred and inviolable."He called on the WLFI team to respect these principles and unlock his tokens.

A spokesperson from Sun's team told TheStreet Roundtable , "Justin and the WLFI team are in active communication about this matter."
