Earnings growth of 17% over 1 year hasn't been enough to translate into positive returns for Siegfried Holding (VTX:SFZN) shareholders

Investors can approximate the average market return by buying an index fund. But if you buy individual stocks, you can do both better or worse than that. That downside risk was realized by Siegfried Holding AG( VTX:SFZN ) shareholders over the last year, as the share price declined 31%. That's well below the market decline of 2.5%. On the bright side, the stock is actually up 8.7% in the last three years. Furthermore, it's down 12% in about a quarter. That's not much fun for holders.

After losing 5.7% this past week, it's worth investigating the company's fundamentals to see what we can infer from past performance.
