A major home goods retailer is reintroducing its business under a new name after filing for bankruptcy in 2023.

Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy in April 2023 and closed its last storefront months later. The brand was then purchased out of bankruptcy for $21.5 million by Beyond Inc., formerly known as Overstock.com, that same year.

However, the entity now driving the return of Bed Bath & Beyond’s physical stores is The Brand House Collective, which officially changed its name from Kirkland’s Inc. after a shareholder meeting earlier this month, according to the company’s press release .

The Brand House Collective announced Monday, July 28, that it will be hosting a grand opening for the first Bed Bath & Beyond Home store in Nashville, Tennessee on Aug. 8.

“We’re proud to reintroduce one of retail’s most iconic names with the launch of Bed Bath & Beyond Home, beautifully reimagined for how families gather at home today,” Amy Sullivan, CEO of The Brand House Collective stated. “This isn’t just a store, it’s a fresh start for a brand that means something special to so many families. With Bed Bath & Beyond Home we’re delivering on our mission to offer great brands, for any budget, in every room. It’s a powerful addition to our portfolio and a meaningful step forward in our transformation.”

During the grand opening, the store will honor customers’ older Bed Bath & Beyond coupons and will offer fresh coupons at the door.

Additionally, the first 25 customers who make a purchase will receive an “incredible free gift” which is a premium 10-inch memory foam queen size mattress, regularly valued at $226.99, the company wrote.

The Brand House Collective noted in a June press release that it plans to open five more stores in the Nashville area and intends to convert approximately 75 Kirkland’s Home stores through 2026.
