Standard Uranium Ltd ( TSX-V:STND , OTCQB:STTDF , FRA:9SU0 ) recorded radioactivity readings of up to 48,000 counts per second at the Manhattan East showing at its Corvo uranium project in Saskatchewan, more than four times the previous high of 10,600 cps at the site.
The readings came from outcrop at the historical Manhattan East showing, where the company measured 20,000 to 48,000 cps during a prospecting and sampling program funded by Aventis Energy and operated by Standard Uranium.
Aventis holds a three-year earn-in option on the 12,363-hectare project, which sits 60 kilometres east of Cameco's McArthur River mine in the Athabasca Basin.
Prospecting also returned up to 36,000 cps at a known occurrence on the Brooklyn trend, upgraded from a historical 20,000 cps, and 30,000 cps at Manhattan NE, about 130 m northeast of Manhattan East.
A previously undocumented showing on the Brooklyn trend read up to 13,400 cps in altered pegmatite outcrop. In total, the team recorded 56 readings above the 300-cps anomalous threshold, eight of them above 10,000 cps.
Geological mapping confirmed deformed and hydrothermally altered basement rocks, including metasedimentary, calc-silicate and granitic lithologies, which the company described as ideal for uranium and rare earth element mineralization.
The program followed the winter 2026 drilling, the first on the project in more than forty years, which returned anomalous uranium in all nine holes.
"Confirming strong, structurally-controlled radioactivity at the Manhattan East showing and discovering new radioactive showings along the Brooklyn Trend builds directly on the widespread uranium enrichment we intersected during our first drill program at Corvo," said Sean Hillacre, president and vice president exploration of Standard Uranium.
Standard Uranium is designing supplementary geophysical programs to refine drill targets, integrating the new surface data with the winter drilling and geochemical datasets. A second drill program is planned for 2027.
Shares of Standard Uranium were up 7.7% on Thursday in Canada.
