Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR), formerly MicroStrategy, continued its Bitcoin buying spree as it acquired 3,081 BTC during Aug. 18-24.
Led by co-founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor, Strategy is the world's largest public corporate holder of Bitcoin. As of now, it holds 632,457 BTC worth more than $70 billion.
However, the company's stock has fallen 2% in value in the last week. Even Bitcoin's price fell from $117,000 to $111,500 over the weekend.
Nonetheless, there is one crypto market observer who is bullish on both Bitcoin and the largest Bitcoin treasury firm.
John Deaton , the popular pro- XRP lawyer, shared his latest crypto prediction on X on Aug. 24. As per Deaton, Bitcoin will reach the price range of $180,000-$250,000 the next year, which will cause the MSTR stock to rally.
The company's stock, which closed at $358.13 on Aug. 22, will "likely exceed" $500 during the Bitcoin run, Deaton forecasted, and even predicted a 30%-40% correction in Bitcoin's price and an even more violent MSTR crash.
A lot of folks will call the Strategy boss Michael Saylor reckless and speculate on him liquidating, Deaton added.
"Does this sound familiar? Yes, I've been here since 2017."
The pro-XRP lawyer made the remarks in response to a conversation in which Tom Lee , chairman at the leading Ethereum treasury firm BitMine Immersion Technologies (NYSE: BMNR), predicted that MicroStrategy could potentially become the largest company in the stock market if Bitcoin reaches $1 million.
It will be MicroStrategy' Bitcoin balance sheet, not its income, that will drive the company's value, similar to how ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM) dominated the stock market due to its oil reserves, Lee argued.
If the MSTR stock has to reach Deaton's target, it needs to surge by around 40% in a year.
