Lyntris Principal Benjamin Pinx joins J.D. Durkin at AUSA 2026.

00:00 Ben Pinks

By integrating your software into a multitude of software platforms and systems, it helps curve the time it used to take. So instead of taking weeks and months, we're down to days and hours.

Ben Pinks joins us now here on the ground at AUSA 2026. He is the principal Technology and Mission Solutions at Lintrus. Really nice to see you.

00:36 Ben Pinks

It's great to meet you.

00:37 Interviewer

Thanks for taking a few minutes out of the busy schedule here at the event. I know for you. Let's start with an introduction to Lintrus. What is it all about and some of your top priorities in terms of supporting the US Army?

00:43 Ben Pinks

So, uh, Lintrus has a number of product lines that uh support a number of the different army mission areas and warfighting functions. And so, everything from command and control, all the way down to platform level, USV, maritime operations. Um and in between there, we do sustainment, we do uh a number of different types of uh autonomy. We do at at the platform and then at the orchestration layer.

01:10 Interviewer

Let's talk about Operation Jailbreak. For anyone who bit might be a bit unfamiliar, what is that all about and what is the significance of it?

01:21 Ben Pinks

So Operation Jailbreak uh is is an idea that came out of the army on how to get integration done sooner. Instead of waiting to be put on contract and nugging through all of the the one-off integration efforts, they bring together, you know, anywhere from 40 to 100 companies to to bring their capabilities, everything from software to the platform, to the payload mission system payloads. And then you just work through all the integrations, open APIs, how you doing the ICDs when you integrate the payloads to the platforms, then how you doing command and control of those things.

02:00 Interviewer

Let's talk about a few of your other top priorities. Let's go to the autonomy stack next. Helm, what is that all about? And how does that fit into what you're working on today?

02:08 Ben Pinks

So what Helm does is it it's at the own ship for a USB, own ship at the platform level, and what it does is it does the command and control of the actual platform, and then all of the payloads that are on the platform. And then you go up a step further into Dragonfly. Um and that's our orchestration layer so that you're doing multi-domain UXS orchestration. So everything from ground, maritime and aerial.

02:30 Interviewer

In this space here at AUSA, we talk an awful lot about the hardware. Let's drill down a bit more on the software, specifically software integration. How does that help the army really deploy a lot of these new technologies even faster?

02:44 Ben Pinks

So what it does is by by integrating your software into a multitude of software or platforms and systems, it helps curve the time it used to take. So instead of taking weeks and months, we're down to days and hours, depending on what we've done at places like Operation Jailbreak where we've already exposed our APIs, we've integrated with people, um and made sure that it's all published and out there and you can just grab it and go.

03:09 Interviewer

Ben, I've got no doubt, you and your team at Lintrus, you're working on a lot of exciting things you can't quite yet talk about. But give me some sense under the hood, the upcoming priorities, what is next for Lintrus in the ways that you continue to support the US military?

03:22 Ben Pinks

Yeah, so our big push right now is getting into the uh the the new DRPM drone marketplace. Um we got a number of software and platform level uh systems that are going into that marketplace, which makes it much easier for the services to uh just basically buy your stuff.

03:45 Interviewer

Ben Pinks at Lintrus. Thanks a lot for chatting with us here at AUSA. All the best.

03:50 Ben Pinks
