Standard Uranium completes 6,734m Davidson River drill program with record radioactivity

Standard Uranium Vice President of Exploration Sean Hillacre joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the completion of the company's latest drilling campaign at its flagship Davidson River Uranium Project in Saskatchewan's southwest Athabasca Basin.

Hillacre said drilling began in June, with the company completing a total of 6,734 metres across the Warrior, Bronco and Thunderbird structural corridors. The summer campaign was designed to test basement-hosted, high-grade uranium targets along regional structural trends associated with some of the Athabasca Basin's significant uranium deposits.

The program has produced several encouraging exploration indicators, including the highest levels of radioactivity recorded to date at Davidson River. Drilling also more than doubled the known width of the Thunderbird and Bronco structural corridors, expanding the geological footprint of areas considered prospective for uranium mineralization.

Hillacre said the campaign intersected what the company considers its most prospective rocks to date. Drill core showed strong hydrothermal alteration, including sericite and dravitic clays, together with widespread structural disturbance.

These geological features are considered important exploration indicators in the search for basement-hosted uranium mineralization, particularly in the Athabasca Basin, where major uranium deposits are associated with complex structural and hydrothermal systems.

While the company has completed the summer drilling component, the exploration program remains active. Whole-rock geochemical assays from drill core samples are still pending and are expected to provide additional information about the geological characteristics encountered during the campaign.

Standard Uranium plans to use the results from the completed drilling, including radioactivity measurements, geological observations and pending geochemical data, to help prioritize follow-up work. Additional exploration programs are being planned to investigate radioactive intervals encountered during the campaign and advance regional drill targets.

It's really deep seated massive corridors that are the perfect environment for uranium mineralization. The strongest alteration we've ever seen.

00:15 Steve

Welcome back inside our Proactive news room and joining me now is Sean Hillerker. He is the vice president of exploration for Standard Uranium. and Sean, it's great to see you again. How are you?

00:30 Sean Hillerker

Doing really well. Steve, good to see you too.

00:33 Steve

Yeah, so we've talked in the last little while, how excited you were about getting uh drills back at Davidson River and we can say that it's completed now. so just under 7,000 meters, uh, an exciting time for you and the team.

00:51 Sean Hillerker

That's right, Steve, it was our biggest program ever on any project to date. Obviously, Dave Davidson River is our flagship project, so getting back there for the first time in a couple of years is was really exciting and we hit the best looking rocks and the highest radioactivity we ever have. So, all steam ahead here. We're really excited about the results and uh excited to keep exploring. Yeah.

01:21 Steve

Yeah, so Warrior, Bronco, Thunderbird, those were all some key ones that you had mentioned you were going to look at. So were you able to hit all of them and and what are you seeing there?

01:34 Sean Hillerker

Yeah, we did Steve, we hit all three trends, uh some brand new areas, followed up on some interesting uh geophysics that we did back in 2025. Uh developed some new targets and then what we saw was, you know, some really significant structure. We, you know, our targeting thesis there has always been good, but it was improved by this new geophysics we did, kind of unlocked some new areas and some new thinking uh on these areas that we were going. So we actually expanded like the structural width of these corridors by more than double. So looking at that and what that really means is these corridors are just like what we see hosting these world class deposits in this part of the world. So it's, you know, it's not these small little structures that we're seeing, it's really deep seated massive corridors that are the perfect environment for uranium mineralization. The strongest alteration we've ever seen and then obviously uh some some radioactivity as well. So that's great.

02:35 Steve

Yeah, you'll obviously know more when you get the results back, but you were able to sort of take a look at as you mentioned some of the the key areas that you wanted to and also you'll gain some some new information from from the rock as well, those core that you took out. Can you sort of talk about that part of it because other than the here's what it is, it's more so some evidence that you need.

02:59 Sean Hillerker

Yeah, that's right. So we will put out more news uh on this program. This was just kind of our first, you know, hey, we're done. Uh we're really happy with the results. So we will put out some follow follow up news on the details of the rocks and what we were seeing, why we're so excited about it. Um and where we want to go next. So, like I had mentioned, the just the degree of hydrothermal alteration, the fluid flow coupled with that structure and and the radioactivity has been the best kind of combination of uranium ingredients that we've seen to date on the project. Um you know, I'll include some some really nice figures on the next release as well, kind of showing our investors and our shareholders what that looks like and and explaining in more detail why we're excited. But uh just to kind of, you know, at a high level, like I said, coming from, you know, across the street and and knowing what the rocks and the the mineralization look like at, you know, Arrow and triple R. Um these are all the things that we're seeing in the rocks. So again, it's just a matter of using that information with our new geophysics, expanding that, continuing to do that work will allow us to vector into something exciting here. The project is so large that, you know, you see the map in the news release and you see where we drilled and it looks really close together, but those drill holes are hundreds of meters apart. So, you know, taking large step outs and really trying to explain what we're seeing in the geophysics with the rocks and making those links will help us to uh expedite the discovery.

04:32 Steve

All right, well we'll look forward to hearing more about that when the time is right. Sean, thank you so much. Good to see you again.

04:40 Sean Hillerker

Thanks Steve. Uh yeah, we'll be talking again soon here, lots of exciting stuff happen.

04:47 Steve

All right, look forward to it. Sean Hillerker, the Vice President of expiration for Standard Uranium.
