Cheryl Maley
Lovely to meet you too, Laura. Thanks for having me.

Now Star Farmer is focused on redefining cancer treatment with DEP science. Can you tell us more about the business?
00:44
Cheryl Maley
Yes, yeah, so Star Farmer um has worked for over two decades on our Dema technology. DEP stands for Dema enhanced products and including our Dema technology has shown to benefit um existing chemotherapy drugs and also in our development programs and partner development programs, opportunities to improve targeted oncology therapies. The way in which it does it is that it it fine tunes the treatment. So focuses it more to be uh penetrate the tumor, retain in the tumor and avoid the healthy organs. So by avoiding the healthy organs, you have less side effects. That's our goal in including our technology in cancer treatments.

The company secured high value partnerships worth a combined 1 billion $1 billion dollars plus. What does this mean for Star farmer strategically?
02:00
Cheryl Maley
Yeah, our partnerships are really important to Star farmer for for different reasons. Aside from the financial uh, you know, outcome that comes with that. When partners license our technology, it also is external validation of the benefit that the technology can bring. And when we have companies like global multinational companies like Genetech that are world renowned for their innovation, their, you know, uh cancer treatments that they develop. If they are including our technology, this is a great uh benefit to Star farmer because it gives us visibility. It also raises questions for others as to maybe we should be thinking about this technology in our uh drug development programs. So it is the benefit is is super high, but it is beyond what is the financial gain. It is that uh validation and the opportunity that it creates.

Your lead radio therapy candidate is heading into a first in human study in the second half of this year targeting a form of gastric cancer. How significant is that opportunity?
03:26
Cheryl Maley
This is really important also to Star Farmer uh for two reasons. The very first one is that uh in gastric cancer, there is a significant unmet need, particularly for third line therapies where radio uh pharmaceutical treatments show that they could deliver significant benefit. So developing a her two targeted uh lutecium based radio pharmaceutical for gastric cancer has the potential to bring significant patient benefit. The other part that the other reason why it is so important for Star Farmer is that as we develop this program and move into the clinic, it also has the potential to show how our technology, our Dendrome technology can be used more broadly in the radio pharmaceutical space. So that could be for us to develop more assets or it could be for partners to license it to use it within their program for uh radio pharmaceuticals.
04:41
Speaker A
And lastly, what's the investment case for Star Farmer as these programs progress?
04:50
Cheryl Maley
The investment case for Star Farmer is that we have a platform technology that is clinically validated, a strong IP position, external validation, and being uh a platform that is also being used in areas of high unmet needs, so in the areas of um particularly oncology, shows that we have multiple opportunities for revenue generation and returning value to investors. Um we have a depth of knowledge that is unique and a depth of experience on a that differentiates us on a global stage. So we've got uh years of learnings. We've got a good technology and we've got the validation and the foundation to get strong growth in the next five years.
