Keep in mind:"The bra is a bit bulkier than I typically prefer," said Edwards. The band is also polarizing: I felt it stretched with wear, but Edwards said, "It can also start to feel a little constricting after a while." Testers agreed it's not the most versatile, either. The coverage is fuller and the lift is subtle, which makes it ideal for tees and sweaters, though less perfect for anything low-cut. "I would say this bra is probably too bulky to wear under tank tops and other similarly skimpy tops," said Edwards. "Will also add, it's not the sexiest/prettiest bra I own, but that's OK for everyday."

"I would've liked a bigger band to help with smoothing on the sides," added Garcia, who noted "weird bunching around the band."

"This bra runs small and I had to go up a band size/down a cup size (to my 'sister size')," said Latham, who overall "didn't love the fit," particularly due to some shifting inside the cups.

How we test wireless bras
You can take a look at how we test bras in depth, but for this article, we worked with 15 testers ages 25 to 44 who range in size from 30AA to 40G to try out more than 55 top-rated styles. Pullover, hook-and-eye clasps, strapless, adjustable, foam padding, totally padding-free; you name it, we tried them all from retailers and popular brands to determine which were worth the money and which were overhyped.
Tester preferences ranged from barely-there, seamless bras to sturdy, durable support without the discomfort of an underwire. Their evaluations focused on fit, support, style, comfort, durability and quality. After testing, they completed a 30-question feedback survey, which yielded nearly 1,200 responses that helped inform our picks above.

Lau adds that there are recent breakthroughs in bra technologies that offer great options "for individuals with curvier figures who lean towards unlined bras [to] significantly improve support, marrying comfort with functionality."
How should I wash my wireless bra?
Wireless bras last longer when you treat them gently. Always check the care tag — many styles can be machine-washed in a delicates bag, but air-drying is almost always recommended to maintain elasticity and avoid stretched-out bands.
Factors to consider when shopping for a wireless bra
A good wireless bra should feel comfortable the second you put it on and stay supportive all day. To find one that checks all your boxes, here's what to look at before you add to cart:
Fit
For a wire-free bra to support you properly, look for one that fits well and is ideally adjustable. It should fit "securely and comfortably around your rib cage without gapping or overflowing in the cups," says Dana Donofree, founder and CEO of the bra brand AnaOno .
