13時半を過ぎて客はまばら。炒飯のメニューの多さに圧倒される。無難な線をと思って注文した五目炒飯は890円と安くはないが、このボリュームなので文句はない。具も多く、御飯もパラパラで、味自体は悪くなかった。 It was past 1:30 PM and the restaurant was quite empty. I was overwhelmed by the large variety of fried rice dishes on the menu. I decided to play it safe and ordered the gomoku chāhan (mixed fried rice), which cost 890 yen—not exactly cheap, but considering the portion size, I had no complaints. The dish was generously filled with ingredients, and the rice was nicely separated; overall, the taste was decent. しかし、不愉快だったのは店員の態度だ。店内が空いていたからだと思うが、女性の店員が、厨房の男性(いずれも大陸系と思われる)と、客のこちらが思わず萎縮してしまうほどの大声でずっと会話をしていた。男性の方は多少気を使っているのか、抑えめのボリュームだったが、女性に関しては、なんでこんなに声を張り上げねばならないのだろうと不思議なくらいだった。 あまり書きたくないんだけど、あちらの店員がオペレーションしている店って、店員がとても非礼だったり非常識だったりする店がたまにあるなぁと思ってしまう。 However, what left a bad impression was the attitude of the staff. Perhaps because the restaurant was empty, a female staff member was talking loudly with a male kitchen worker in a voice so loud that it made me, the customer, involuntarily shrink back. The male staff spoke more quietly, perhaps trying to be considerate, but the woman’s voice was so loud I couldn’t help but wonder why she felt the need to shout like that. I don’t really want to write this, but sometimes I get the impression that restaurants operated by staff from that region occasionally have employees who are quite rude or behave unprofessionally.
