AU 特使、 Darfur問題 平和への話し合いを訴える

安倍首相の内閣改造
明日（26aug2007, Mon）内閣改造が予定されていますが、外遊から帰国したばかりの首相に名案と練り上げる時間は十分あったのでしょうか。Sankeiweb 現在位置：ホーム > 政治 > 首相 > 記事あす内閣改造 安倍ハムレット 独自色か均衡か…安倍晋三首相は２５日夜、アジア歴訪を終えて帰国した。週明けの内閣改造と自民党役員人事に向、公邸にこもって最終的な検討に入る。参院選で歴史的大敗を喫しても続投を決意しただけに、人心一新は政権建て直しの重要な手段だが、その作業自体に多くの難題、条件がつきまとう。失った国民の強い支持や党内の求心力を回復するのは容易ではなく、いばらの道は続きそうだ。（今堀守通）一般的に内閣改造の“妙”は、各派領袖が納得する人材を要所に置く首相がもっとも信頼する人物を政策の「要」に配する政策や調整に秀でた人材を織り交ぜる若手や女性など新鮮さやクリーンさの演出は不可欠などが挙げられる由。小池防衛大臣など、自ら次期内閣に入らないと首相に伝えた事をマスコミにしゃべっていますが、口さがない評論家など、早くも泥船から脱出とコメント、組閣前に逃げ出す人物が居るようでは、安倍さんも、先が思いやられることでしょう。

EU、英国からの食肉輸出解禁へ

Intel and AMD, which supply the mass market, are only just establishing dual-core and quad-core designs.Tilera was founded by Anant Agarwal, a professor of electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. He created a tiled, mesh-based multicore architecture there in the 1990s. 一般ユーザ向けのPCでは、インテルやAMDが、 dual-core とか quad-core 方式のcpuチップを供給していますが、 Tile64 processor は 64-core 版というのですから、その性能威力は想像できます。Tilera は、1,000 cores程度までいけると想定しているそうですから、ひょっとすると、PCやスーパーコンピュータの概念を変えてしまうのかもしれません。

スペースシャトル、無事に地球へ帰還

野口英世アフリカ賞：募金集まらず
昨年５月小泉首相（当時）が提唱の 野口英世アフリカ賞、どうも顕彰金１億円と大見得を切ったのは良かったのですが、これに見合う募金がなかなか集まらないそうです。小泉前首相の 国連改革、日本の常任理事国就任、アフリカ諸国のバックアップ期待、野口英世のアフリカに於ける功績、と連想ゲームのようなひらめきで提唱したアフリカ賞、確か小泉前首相には相当の思い入れがあったと思います。だから、首相最後の任期分の退職金を全額このアフリカ賞に寄付をされたのでしょう。しかし、当初意気込みほど募金が集まらないとは、かなり寂しいですね。

南北朝鮮：首脳会談延期

８月１７日金曜日（17aug2007, Fri）ロシアが、１５年ぶりに長距離爆撃機の巡航を始めたと、VOA Newsが報じています。Russia Resumes Long-Range Bomber FlightsBy VOA News17 August 2007 Russia is resuming long-range bomber flights after a 15-year suspension.President Vladimir Putin said Friday that he ordered patrols of long-range aircraft to begin immediately and said they will be permanent.The long-range bombers are flying missions over the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic Oceans.ロシア プーチン大統領は、金曜日長距離爆撃機による巡航の再開を発令し、即実施されたとのこ。そして、この作戦は継続的なモノとのこと。巡航対象地域は、大西洋上、太平洋上、北極海上空で、ロシアの７つの基地から１７機の長距離爆撃機が跳び立ったとのこと。ソ連時代は、核ミサイルを搭載の長距離爆撃機が警戒に当たっていたのですが、ソ連邦崩壊後は中断されていました。日本周辺でも、ソ連の「定期便」と称して、自衛隊戦闘機が迎撃発進をすることもかってはしばしば、省への昇格後の防衛省、張り切りすぎなければ良いのですが。

The inspection on Sunday showed that the damage went through the one-inch-thick thermal tiles, exposing the felt material sandwiched between the tiles and the shuttle’s aluminum frame.NASAでは、傷の程度がエンデバー地球帰還時の高熱に耐えうるものかどうか、シュミレーションなどにより確認中とのことです。また、耐熱タイルの改良などに取り掛かると、今年 後2度のスペースシャトル打ち上げにも、影響しかねず、ISS関係者は、ISS完成までのスケージュール相当気がかりなことでしょう。スペースシャトル引退まで、3ヶ月に一回のペースで打ち上げがなされないとISSが完成しないそうで、2010年までせわしそう。

ペルセウス座流星群
夏の夜空を飾るペルセウス座流星群、世界的には日本時間１３日（13aug2007, Mon）お昼頃が一番多く現れるそうです。日本でも、まだ１４日（水）明け方でも、相当観測可能とのこと。１３日のピークを挟んで前後数日が見所の由。新月の夜が流星観測に適しているようです。一時間に１５個なんて流星は、沢山の部類に入る様ですが、宇宙を知らぬモノからみれば、一時間も夜空を眺めている事はおそらく難しそうです。

First the Russians planted a flag on the bottom of the Arctic. Then they promised to return to the Mediterranean. For good measure, a Russian-made bomb fell (but did not explode) into a vegetable field in Georgia. That the three events came close together may be a coincidence. That they all testify to Russia's new assertiveness is not.The incident in Georgia may be the most serious. The relationship between Moscow and Tbilisi has been near breaking-point for months. There are no direct transport links between the two countries, and Georgian food and wine imports are banned in Russia (for health reasons, of course). Russia supports the breakaway enclaves of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, which Georgia is trying to regain, even to the extent of issuing residents with Russian passports. 安保理： 国連のイラク支援強化を討議

Security Council on Tuesday discussed a draft resolution to expand the United Nations' political role in Iraq. From VOA's New York bureau, Suzanne Presto reports that U.N. diplomats say there is support to extend the U.N. mandate for another year and to enhance the mission.The United Nations pulled its staffers from Iraq in August 2003, after terrorists blew up the mission's Baghdad offices and killed 22 people. Although some employees have returned, security continues to be a major concern. Now, western nations, particularly the United States and Britain, are urging the U.N. to expand its political role in Iraq. The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) currently has 65 international employees in the country who handle basic political tasks there. Then emergency crews, witnesses and even the victims jumped into action.橋崩落の原因は調査中とのことですが、早くから欠陥が指摘されていたと、マスメディは伝えています。この種の事故が発生すると、米国では先ずテロとは関係無かった様子と、時節柄前書きが必要になるみたいです。かって韓国でも、橋の崩落事故がありましたが、国力比較で、この米国でもこのような事故が起こりうるとは、予想だにしなかった事です。米国の威信も崩れてしまう大事故と言えます。米国の場合は、外国に軍隊を遠征させている間に、国内の安全がどうも手薄になっているのでは、と見られがちです。米国民もそう見ているのではないでしょうか。
