Hironori Okano is coming!
Debut single of Hironori Okano, who wrote "Gratitude" in Chikuzen's "Indigo" together (See Jun. 5, 2007), is on sale on Oct. 24: "Lemonade".This song was performed at Chikuzen's "Welcome to My Room" tour.The official web site says:Male singer-songwriters in great success recently such as James Blunt, Daniel Powter, James Morrison, MIKA-Their appeals are simple: really good works and really good songs.Hironori Okano is the one with great sense as a songwriter and peerless voice.He represents emotions anyone feels in daily life with universal words and melody, and creates more than universal music. Cornerstones4収録曲発表
昨日、何人かの方がブログで"竹善さんのCS4発売記念ライブツアーの案内ハガキが来た"と語っておられるのを見ました。CS2の時のライブには行きそびれています。今回は果たして…「サヨナラ」｢そして僕は途方に暮れる」を含むCS4の収録曲11曲が発表されていますが、私は結局今回の収録曲予想に応募しませんでした。ただ、8/31のLive Harbor Flavorで"フォークソングも収録される"というヒントが出たとき、"まさか｢いちご白書をもう一度」だったりして"と一瞬思っています。しかし、8/29に考えた他の曲は1つも当たりませんでした。

日焼けの後はひび割れか…
8月4日の情熱大陸のとき、日焼け止めはしっかり塗っていきました。しかし、帽子を被っていたので顔は大丈夫でも、腕から手の甲が真っ赤に。この日焼け止めはウォータープルーフではなかったので、お手洗いに行った時などに手の甲に塗った日焼け止めを洗い流してしまっていました。その後どうなったかというと―夏の終わりには二の腕から手首にかけてグラデーションに。まだ秋なので少し気が早いですが―よく"今時この年齢で！？"と呆れられるのですが、毎年冬には指にひび割れができます。子供の頃はしもやけにもしょっちゅう悩まされました。去年は暖冬でしたが、それでも冬中指に絆創膏が絶えることがありませんでした。春先でも寒の戻りがあるとたちまちひび割れてきます―寒暖計みたいです。これは体質も関係あるようですが、今年は秋のうちに対策を考えることにします。

Set list of Cornerstones 4
Songs included in Chikuzen's "Cornerstones 4" have been announced. I've never heard some of the songs before, so right now I cannot think up English names for those songs-Please wait until the album is on sale.I wonder who could guess all the 10 songs right. (See Aug. 28, 2007)Chikuzen's new single "Sayonara (good-bye) / Soshite bokuwa tohouni kureru (and I am at a loss)" is coming on Oct. 17.And album "Cornerstones 4" is coming on Nov. 14.

Double Face/ Tomohito Aoki
This title means bilateral character of Aoki.Since Aoki joined Toshiki Kadomatsu's back-up band in 1982, he played the bass at every concert and almost all albums of Kadomatsu. (See Jun. 16, 2007)And not only the musicians but also fans placed reliance highly on him.This album was co-produced by Kadomatsu and released from the label established by Kadomatsu.So the songs are pop and the color of Kadomatsu back then is shown throughout the album.At the same time, "Mr. J.F.P." -dedicated to Jaco Pastorius- and "Risa" -dedicated to his daughter- shows Aoki's personality.From 1993 to 1998, Kadomatsu stopped his work as a singer.As a result, Aoki performed with wider range of people during "freeze".And in 2000, making the most of his personal connections, he recorded his second album "Experience". (See Dec. 7, 2006)When I heard that one of the songs in this album was sang by Aoki, I realized that I couldn't recall his voice although I had met him at the concert of FOUR of a KIND. "Why" or "All in all"?
On Sep. 12, Abe suddenly announced resignation:Just after he said that he could resign if his government fails to win an extension of the mandate for Japan's mission to refuel jets operating in Afghanistan.If so, he should have decided on his course of action after getting the problem settled once and for all.Surely one of the backgrounds was his health concern.If so, he should have resigned before making his policy speech.Whatever, the timing was the worst -I recalled that there was an idol duo who suddenly canceled their performance on TV on the air.Now the major concern is who is coming next, Fukuda or Asou -both are second-generation.One thing for sure: whoever comes next, I wish to decide whom to vote at the next election without being misled, since I cannot choose next prime minister directly.

Three consecutive holidays
I'm going to take a good rest.- I wish I could do that, but tomorrow and on Monday, I have some tasks to do.On Tuesday, I had a sudden stomachache before lunchtime.I suppose the fatigue in summer began to tell on me.Actually, same thing happened just one year ago.At that time, I went to my doctor and had stomach medicine prescribed.I suppose I don't have a strong stomach;When I got a psychotic depression in autumn 2003, the symptoms started with a pain in the stomach and nausea.So now I keep a tablet of the stomach medicine in my bag just in case.◆ :Ready to place translation depending on request

Six years ago-
I was in London on the day of 9-11 terrorist attacks.It was about 4 p.m. (in U.K.); we were heading to the nearest cafe after school.A man came out from the office next to school and told us that airplanes crashed into World Trade Center and two buildings were gone.We hurried to the cafe, and people were watching TV there.One of the astonishing things was:One of the schoolmates' sister was working at WTC.I know how he was worried at that time-Fortunately, she was safe; she happened to be late for work.It was a kind of surprising coincidence for me: I received a letter from ex-classmate in London on the day before the 6th anniversary of 9-11.I hadn't heard from her for a long time.Another coincidence: It was since a terrorist bombing in London that I hadn't heard from her, so, to be honest, once I worried that she might have been involved in the terrorist attack.◆ :Ready to place translation depending on request

小学生バトン
・好きだった遊具は何でしたか？ジャングルジムと鉄棒を組み合わせたような、通称｢タケノコ｣・お気に入りの給食メニューは何でしたか？カレーシチュー・学校からの帰り道、道草しましたか？小学校3年までは学童保育に行っていた・遠足のお弁当は、おにぎり？サンドイッチ？おにぎり、もしくはご飯だった。・夜、一人でトイレに行けましたか？はい・学校七不思議はありましたか？その手の話は一時流行したが、確かその学校にはなかった。・シャンプーハットのお世話になりましたか？いいえ・お人形遊びしてましたか？リカちゃん人形を買ってもらったとき、一時・まさか、今小学生じゃ無いですよね！？まだ(2007年で)卒業後20年も経っていないが・学校でサツマイモやジャガ芋を育てましたか？はい理科の授業の一環で育てて、収穫後"ジャガイモパーティー"をした記憶が・朝顔育てましたよね？はい色は忘れました・好きだった洋服覚えてますか？グレーのチェックのジャンパースカート。春か秋に着ていた。・『警察と泥棒』って遊び知ってますか？はいしかしむしろ、中学校のクラブで、体力づくりの運動代わりにやっていた印象が強い。・プールは楽しみでしたか？はい当時水泳教室に行っていたので、体育が苦手だった私にはこれが唯一、他の人と互角になれる時だった。・誰かに回してくださいバトンが増えたので「バトン置き場」のカテゴリーを作っています。

途中経過
大分慣れてきたものの、ボサノバ初心者の私にとっては｢イパネマの娘」には"なんでこのコードにこの音程！？"という変なコードがいっぱい出てきて、まずそこで苦戦。三弦しかない三弦琵琶でどう弾くかも問題でした。この曲と比べると最初に覚えた「Blue Bossa」のコードは結構素直でした(と感じた)から。しかし「Blue Bossa」はコードとメロディーは覚え易そうでいながら、案外音程があちこちに飛ぶので、むしろ難しいです。色々なバージョンがあり、歌う人によって色々なカラーを見せるこの曲ですが―竹善さんもラジオで語っていました―色々試したところ、どうやら私の場合、アストラッド・ジルベルトよりはアントニオ・カルロス・ジョビンのバージョンの少し高いキーで、可愛い感じで歌ったほうが、曲のおいしいところが生きるようです。先週また"歌い逃げ"したとき、｢イパネマの娘」を歌っていたところ、通りがかりの何人かがシェイカーで一緒に加わってくれ、初めてのことで嬉しいやら気恥ずかしいやら。

リフォーム作戦
格安で買ったこのスカート。 丈はやや長いですが、形と色は気に入っていました。 しかし、裾にはレースが縫い付けてあるのみ。 立った時にうっかり裾を踏んでレースがちぎれそうになりました。 そこで、レースを取ってバイヤステープで裾の始末と飾り付けを思い立ちました。さて。

Push-and-shove
On the train, I saw a young woman squeezing herself between two middle-aged women on the opposite seat of the seat I sat on.Obviously, she was sitting uncomfortably.Three of them got off at different stations, so I guessed that they were others.On the other hand, there were some spaces between each person on the other side of the seat.-But no one seemed to come up with sitting closer although none of them were sleeping, at least while I was on the train.◆ :Ready to place translation depending on request

Night view of Kobe
It's difficult to take a picture of night view with a cell phone...On Aug. 31, I went to a concert of Chikuzen Satou and Shinji Akita in Kobe.It was the first time they performed together.I had a great time, of course.I took this picture of the night view while I was waiting for the return bus.As I placed on Aug. 28, Chikuzen's next covered album "Cornerstones 4" is coming in November.And before that, a single "Sayonara" (good-bye) is coming.B side is "Soshite bokuwa tohouni kureru" (and I get at a loss).They performed this song at the concert -and since I hadn't heard the original, I listened to this song for the first time.Some songs performed at the concert might be on air on "Hiro T's Morning Jam", 6:00 to 10:00 a.m. on every Monday to Thursday on FM 802.

オクラ再び
オクラの入ったカレーのレシピは時々見ますが、これは自己流です。 時々作る野菜カレーに入れてみました。 隠し味は、 ―もう少し辛いほうがよかったみたいです。 今夏はオクラを結構食べました。 味噌汁や煮物の青みにしたり、トマトスープや中華風の炒めものにいれたり― 正直なところ、竹善さんの前回のアルバムタイトルとジャケット写真を初めて見たとき、当時は"オクラ!?"と噴き出してしまったのは確か。 でも、こうしてみると竹善さんがアルバムタイトルを「Okra」にしたのもうなずける気がします。

Live Harbor Flavor
(2007.8.31 at神戸メリケンパークオリエンタルホテル)この日はまーびんさん、和歌山知子さん、まみんがーぜっとさん、その他おくら仲間何人かにお目にかかれました。ありがとうございました。出演：佐藤竹善、秋田慎治、ヒロ寺平竹善・秋田登場 「You Need A Hero」竹善、みんなに手拍子をあおる 「（？）」しっとりと「（？）」"オータム＆シュガー初のコンサートです"秋田との初ライブを楽しみにしていた竹善"秋田のファンもたくさんいるでしょうが･･･"と言うと客席の一角で拍手が上がる。→曲紹介"ピアノと歌で気持ちい～い感じで―クイーンの曲を"フレディ・マーキュリーはクラシック出身。中学時代から好きだったという曲で最近やっと歌えるようになったという。「ジェラシー」―嫉妬という感情を擬人化している。→「Earthbound」目下「Cornerstones４」を制作中。今回は敢えて全曲邦楽、曲自体に力、「音霊（おとだま）」があり、オリコンに30週(レコード会社やプロデューサーなどの仕掛けが届かなくなる頃）以上ランクインしている曲から選曲。"演歌は65才以上になってから、なので今回は外した"目下募集中の収録曲予想のヒント：・"フォークソングも入っています"―アレンジは大分変わる。・"僕の大好きなドラマの曲も"―ただし「101回目のプロポーズ」ではない。→「そして僕は途方に暮れる」"スペシャルゲストを"→ヒロ寺平、PA席から登場竹善"朝っぱらから(ヒロのラジオ番組で）いじられていますが今日は僕がいじれる―今日はヒロさんに歌を歌わせてしまおう"ヒロ"Harbor Flavor＝波止場のにおい"→後ろのカーテンが開き、夜景に歓声が上がる。"ビートルズナンバーを"―誰がどのパートを歌うか議論する二人。ヒロ"これはワンナイトスタンドだからヒロT'sでは流さない" 竹善"Midnight Fingers2でかけますから"→「Nowhere Man」しかしヒロがいきなりつられ、仕切り直し"CS4のプロモーションの時は覚えとけよ" ヒロ退場ヒロとはSLTがデビューする前にFM802に挨拶に行って以来の仲だという。"宴会はここまでにして"→竹善退場、秋田ソロ"ちょっと深刻な曲を" 秋田のアルバムから「Road to the Lord」(神に続く道）竹善登場"秋田のアルバムは僕のブログでも紹介している"→「Spirit of Love」「止まらぬ想い」「願いをこめて」"お客さんにも歌ってもらいます" →途中"Got to get you into my life～"の四声コーラスの練習を挟みつつ「（？）」"絶対に皆さんでは出来ない曲を" →「Spain（I can recall)」(アンコール)"既に時間はオーバーしているが、今すぐ出たらやってもいいと言われた" →「（？）」竹善"非常に楽しかったです"今回のライブの模様はFM802「ヒロT's Morning Jam」で。一番驚嘆したのは「Got to get you into my life」での竹善さんの歌声の七変化（？）。去年11月のCool Beat in Kyoto以来、竹善さんの歌が耳や心にとどまらず全身に届くような感覚を何度か味わっていますが―実はシャトルバスに間に合うよう三宮駅から走ったのが悪かったか、ホテル行きのシャトルバスに酔ってしまいました。しかしどういうわけか「ジェラシー」がすーっと染み込んでくるような感じがし、不思議と気分が良くなったのでした。この後ビュッフェを美味しくいただけたのは言うまでもありません。(2部A席）終演後のステージを1枚―もっとアップで撮ればよかったかも。
