Jackie Rawe
私が持っているのは、イギリス留学中の2001年9月、Jackie Raweを招いての特別授業でもらったプロモーション用CDです。ポップでダンサンブルな曲を21曲収録。「I Believe In Dreams」はオムニバスCDにも収録される代表曲です。2004年にはアルバム「My Truth」をリリースしています。あるホームページでは「イギリスのアレサ・フランクリン」と紹介していました。(以下はCD記載のバイオグラフィーより)ソングライターとしてはジェニファー・ラッシュ、シャカタク、ミキ・ハワードなどと共作、ミッシェル･ゲイルのデビュー曲「Looking Up」も手がけている。セッションシンガーとしても引っ張りだこで、その幅広い音楽を歌いこなす印象深い声は、セリーヌ･ディオン「Think Twice」やエルトン・ジョン「The Way You Look Tonight」などにも華を添えており、スタジオワーク、ライブ、CMソングなど多方面で活躍。特別授業に来てくださったジャッキー･ロウさんは、集まった生徒達をぐいぐい引っ張るエネルギッシュな女性でした。その日の日記に「I realized again how exciting and delightful to sing」と書いています。

Winter/Michael Gettel
夏本番なのにWinter? と思われそうですが、このCDを聴くと、冬が苦手な方でも「冬も悪くない」と感じるでしょうし、雪国の方は雪が恋しくなるかもしれません。シアトル在住の作曲家で音楽教師のMichael Gettelが1997年までにリリースした作品からピックアップした曲が半分、新収録が半分という構成です。調べたところ日本では輸入盤しか出ていないらしいので、以下はこのアルバムのライナーノーツより。「私はコロラドのロッキーで育ちました。そこでは季節ごとに特色のある美しい風景が見られました。春は唯一緑が一面に見える時期です。夏には壮観な日没、びっくりするような雷雨が続きます。秋にはポプラが赤々と色づいたり、山が金色に輝いたりし、その美しさはつかの間のうちに過ぎ去っていきます。幸運な年には、10月は、時を超越したインドの夏のようになります。でも何より、私が最も心惹かれる季節は冬でした。毎日が前の日と違います。毎日新しい光景が繰り広げられます。猛吹雪が雲ひとつない青空に変わったり、眩しい満月が太陽のように（雪や氷に）反射してきらめいたり。冬という季節を称える曲を何曲も書いてきたのは何も驚くことではありません。自分の“冬の日記（winter diary)”に何曲か追加することはもちろん、この音楽を1枚のアルバムとしてお届けできることを喜ばしく思っています。現在私はシアトルに住んでおり、ここでは雪はめったに降りません。なので、この音楽と私の想像で“本物の”冬を感じて心を満足させています。それでも、稀に雪が降って街が活動を停止、学校は休校、停電もして、暖炉に火をともすのにちょうどいいとき、心は（コロラドの冬に）タイムスリップします。きっと、今夜は満月で、父、ザックと一緒にカンテラを持って新雪の中を歩くのだろうな･･･」ちなみに彼の所属するナラダレーベルから2002年に押尾コータローも全米デビューしています。（訳:HNが思いつかん）Narada, ND-63041, 1997.9.23

キノコ騒動その後
（前回は英語だったので今回は日本語にします）今月頭、突然キノコが生えてきて職場の女性陣を嫌悪感のどん底に突き落とした観葉植物の鉢(7/5参照）からは、案の定、その後も次々とキノコの芽が生えてきて、見つけては取ってもらい、見つけては取ってもらい…そして今週明け、葉っぱの陰の死角だったところに、立派な白キノコが3つも生えているではありませんか。そうこうしているうちに、その観葉植物は、蒸し暑く風通しの悪い置き場所が悪かったのか、キノコのせいか、しおれてきました。結局その観葉植物は処分したのでした。 完

From my room/Chikuzen Satou
In summer 2004, Chikuzen went on a nation-wide tour, alone; TANDOKU TOUR "Welcome to my room".This CD was sold only at concert places as "official demo".The songs were recorded at his workroom or his friends' private studio.The cover photo is his workroom. Chikuzen took the picture by himself.Three songs are original and three songs are covered numbers.One of the covered numbers 'Moshimo pianoga hiketanara(if I could play the piano)' was his favorite song as a high-school student.As for the original numbers, 'ZERO' and 'Haruni nare(I long for spring)' are included in his next original solo album 'Okra'.The arrangement is changed considerably, especially in 'ZERO'.It's up to you which you like. Parks Performer Licence延期のお知らせ

Utaki/ Misako Odani
Misako Odani's first three albums are based on her self-accompaniment with the piano.This is her third work. The vocal and piano were recorded at the same time, and other instruments were added later.'Hinokawa(fire river)' is a quiet but powerful number. It hides energy that can burn up everything, as the title shows.Her songs sound sometimes delicate and sometimes emotional. And always straight and resolute.She has written many social message songs. So she is often considered as a statement singer to society.For example, 'Watashi-wo kaeshite(return my self)' is asking us which is stronger, money or love. 'Hahanohi(Mother's Day)' is sung to people who killed themselves.At the same time, she has written innocent love songs, too; such as 'Ookami(wolf)' and 'Hidarite(left hand)'After this work, she has experienced bands and trio. たずね人
2010年ワールドカップ南アフリカ大会のことを書いた折、ロンドン時代の友人の1人について少し触れましたが、2001年夏のロンドン滞在中に特にお世話になったのにその後全く連絡が取れていない人が他にもいます。１．同じボーカル専攻のクラスに父親がギリシャ人で母親がフランス人でオランダ生まれのケニア育ちという女性がいました。ギターがとても上手な人でしたが、2002年にニューヨークからタンザニアのザンジバルに行ったというメールを最後に連絡が来なくなりました。２．ベース専攻の日本人の少年（当時）。彼は1年コースに行っており、私より一足先に来ていたため、滞在中、特にトラブル続きの7月中は何かと助けてもらいました。名は「きょうた」。一時帰国した後ロンドンに戻って大学に進学したと、元クラスメートから聞きました。今頃は向こうでバンドを組んでベーシストとして活躍しているかもしれません。ちなみに彼のことを書いた曲を2002年に作りましたが、「オデュッセイア」から連想した「Lyre」という意味不明のタイトルをつけてしまったこともあり、評判はいまひとつでした。

Missing people
When I posted an article about 2010 World Cup, I mentioned one of my friends I met in London in 2001.There are some more friends I haven't heard from since I left London.1. One of the classmates of the vocal class was born in Holland and grew up in Kenia, whose father was Greek and mother was French.She was a very good guitarist.In 2002, she e-mailed me that she moved to Zanzibar, Tanzania, from New York.Since then, I haven't heard from her.2. A Japanese boy who majored in bass. His name is Kyota.He was in 1-year course, so he entered the same school before I went to London.He helped me a lot, especially in July when I was having a series of trouble.I hear he came back to Japan once, then went back to London and went on to college.Now he might be composing a band and doing well as a bassist.

introducing Cross Your Fingers
“I wish to remove all kinds of category from music.”A live album including songs performed at“Cross Your Fingers", an annual concert held every May 4th, before the day of Chikuzen's birthday. Since this event was started in 1997, various singers and musicians, from new faces to outstanding figures, have joined under the concept "Music is beyond category".“At first, it was started as my birthday concert. And I became able to ask various people to take part in.”“To my delight, the musicians and singers who had been in different lines got together because of S.L.T. I've tried to remove all kinds of category from music. It's been inherited to younger generation. I am really happy.”He wishes to prove that all music is one in the end.This album includes performances of SALT&SUGAR(See the article on 8th Jun.), collaboration of Chikuzen and akiko, Lyrico, and other splended guests.The last song "La La La", performed by all the singers joined in 2003, is marvelous. 食べ物バトン
１ 朝食はご飯派？パン派？ご飯。経済的だから。２ 好きな食べ物を３つあげてください。あんかけ焼きそば、クレープ、グラタン３ 今まで生きてきた中で一番おいしかったものはなんですか？イギリス留学中、学校の近くの生徒のたまり場だった通称「オレンジカフェ｣の混ぜご飯。味がおいしかったわけではなく、最初の四半世紀で一番全てに一生懸命だったときの幸せの味。もちろん、病気から復活した今も前以上に一生懸命生きています。４ 逆に「うっわー、もう食べたくない！」と思ったものは何ですか？ 分からないので、嫌いな食べ物3つに変えさせていただきます。魚卵、ドライフルーツ、刺激物５ なぜ？６ 一昨夜の晩御飯を思い出せますか？メニューを教えてください。落とし卵のえびソース、かぼちゃの味噌汁７ 鍋に入れる具でこれだけは譲れないというのは 大根、にんじん―せんぎりにして。８ 一度、食べてみたいと！！と思う料理を教えてください。札幌ラーメン。北海道に行ったことがないので。９ 今、自分の中で流行っている食べ物は？ミックスビーンズ。缶詰ですが、料理を色々試している。１０ 最後の晩餐で食べてみたいものはなんですか 特別おいしい中華料理１１ 最後は回す人５人。エピソード付で足跡を残してくれる人が極めて少ないので選びにくいです。既に回ってきた方はごめんなさい。はるまき＠青森さん、NANA♪さん、もりもりさん、ラヴィーヌ将軍！？さん、ぷるぷる♪さん、さとうくんさんですよさん―可能なら

来週末は3連休
祝日がある月では、3連休と、週の途中で中休みが入るのとではどちらが嬉しいですか？今年は土曜日と祝日が重なることが多く、私も含めカレンダーどおりで仕事をしている人にとってはあまり祝日のありがたみが感じられないような気がします。といっても実際にカウントしてみたら今年は、2月11日の建国記念日、4月29日のみどりの日、9月23日の秋分の日、12月23日の天皇誕生日の4回でしたが。そこで思ったのですが、政府も3連休を増やして個人消費を増やしたければ、ハッピーマンデーを増やすより、土曜日の振替休日も認めたらどうなのでしょう。いかが？

A mushroom on a leafy plant pot!
Last Monday, when I was watering the leafy plants in my office I work at, I saw something white, long and thin thing in one of the pots.At first, I thought it was a new shoots or root, so I didn't mind.Then, on weekend, it turned out to be an yellow mushroom...Yuck!!Of course I removed it- it's hideous.However, surely, spores must have already been scattered, so more mushrooms can grow...

おかげさまで1000アクセス突破
お越しくださった皆様、まことにありがとうございます。竹善さんのブログ見たさを機に始めたへなちょこブログもおかげさまで1ヶ月強、昨日1000アクセスを突破しました。PC環境がお粗末な上、写真の載せ方が分からず、先月まで文字ばかりの記事ばかり載せていましたが、色々工夫して、昨日ようやく写真入りの記事の掲載に成功。効率よく写真をアップする方法、レイアウト、飾り文字など研究の余地はまだまだですが、これからは読むだけでなく見ても楽しんでいただけるブログに取り組んでいきたいと思います。今後ともどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。Thank you very much for reading.This petty weblog has passed 1,000 access.Since I started up my weblog due to the limitation on access to Chikuzen's weblog, I've displayed articles with only letters: I didn't know how to display photos.I tried various means, and yesterday, I succeeded to display articles with photos at last.Efficiency, layouts of the articles... there are still a lot to research, so as to make my weblog more interesting to read and enjoyable to look at.Best regards.

髪を切りすぎました。
先月、美容院に行ったとき、暑くなるから短めに、とお願いしたところ、かなり思い切って短くしすぎてしまった模様。長すぎると顔が大きく見えてしまい、短すぎると童顔に見えてしまい、なかなか難しいものです。それに、私の髪は生まれつき量が多くて太く、毎回梳いてもらいます。一度でいいから、コンピューターシミュレーションで髪型を決める美容院に行ってみたいものです。かえって良かった点が一つ。プロフィール作成が遅れ、新しい髪形が顔になじんだちょうどいいときに写真撮影となりそうです。
