　昨日 2025 年 4 月 5 日（土）、赤羽駅で電車を待っていると、見慣れない電車が走ってきました。 East i-E （イーストアイ・ダッシュイー）の愛称を持つ E491 系電車です。初めて見ました。先頭車はクモヤ E491 と思われます。
E491 系は、東日本旅客鉄道（ JR 東日本）の交直流事業用電車で、信号・通信・電力・軌道の検測を行います。

　I encountered the E491 series electric multiple unit at Akabane railway station on April 5, 2025. It is operated for inspection of track and overhead line.
