Brown & Brown’s third-quarter results showed acquisition-led revenue growth, but weak organic expansion and Specialty Distribution pressure caused the earnings miss. Management expects improvement in 2027, supported by Accession synergies, technology investments, and stronger Retail performance.

The major indices are mixed at midday on Tuesday, with the Nasdaq extending losses. Chip stocks in South Korea tumbled overnight and that negative sentiment has spilled over to U.S. trading. Adding some perspective, the semiconductor SOX sub-index is up 52% year-to-date. In the past month, it has slid 17%. Much of the concern centers around consolidation in future chip orders ahead of possible future AI consolidation. Crude oil is at $81 per barrel. The yield on the 10-year note is at 4.62%.
