Roblox: 3 Key Takeaways for Long-Term Investors

Trade Roblox on Coinbase

On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Oct. 29, 2026, Roblox(NYSE:RBLX) announced that third-quarter bookings exceeded the top end of its guidance range. Expanding the platform requires attracting older users and helping developers build games faster. Three takeaways from management clarify how these initiatives affect future growth.

1. Artificial Intelligence Accelerates Content Creation Across the Platform

Creator activity on Roblox is accelerating as automated creation tools compress the time needed to build playable games. Developers use artificial intelligence to launch hit titles and upload daily assets to the cloud at high rates.

Our game volume leveraging AI has grown 50% quarter-over-quarter. We are seeing some of these experiences now become AI driven hits.
-- David Baszucki, Co-Founder and CEO

2. Universal Player Infrastructure Expands Game Import Capabilities

Roblox is building technology that lets developers import existing games from mobile, personal computers, and consoles directly onto its platform. This universal player model simplifies cross-device publishing while providing built-in multiplayer functionality and safety systems.

The first we are developing an AI supported system, which is going to allow creators to import literally any existing PC, console, or mobile game directly onto the platform.
-- David Baszucki, Co-Founder and CEO

3. Older User Demographics Drive Stronger Platform Monetization

Expanding the user base beyond traditional younger audiences remains central to long-term growth. Daily active users (DAUs), defined as unique players logging in each day, who are aged 18 and older generate 50% more revenue than younger players.

In the US right now for 18-and-up, those DAUs are growing 8% percent year-over-year and 89% over 2 years. And our 18-and-up users monetize 50% or more than our under-18 cohort.

Looking Ahead

Third-quarter bookings surpassed management expectations, powered by high seasonal user retention and engagement across global markets.

With respect to Q3, as you have now seen, bookings came in above the high end of our guidance. The better than expected performance was driven largely by retention and engagement.
-- Naveen K. Chopra, Chief Financial Officer

Roblox relies on proprietary data and distribution networks to strengthen its competitive position while expanding infrastructure investments.

So summarizing, we are really excited about how AI is unlocking our platform. We are already seeing early benefits. We believe we are really well positioned to capitalize on this moment.
-- David Baszucki, Co-Founder and CEO
