Rite Aid has added an additional seven stores to its closure list since filing for bankruptcy.
The seven locations, which are in Washington and Oregon, were mentioned in court records filed on Aug. 29.
These closures are in addition to the over 800 locations that have already shuttered since the initial bankruptcy filed in late 2023.
In May, the national drugstore chain announced that it filed for bankruptcy a second time to pursue a "strategic and value-maximizing sale process for substantially all of its assets." Rite Aid's prescriptions, pharmacies, front-end inventory and "other" unspecified assets will fall under this sale.
The company currently has 1,240 operational locations across the United States. According to the store locator on the Rite Aid website, 70 of those locations are in New England.
