Can it get any quieter? Preliminary volume on Wednesday for the SPDR S&P 500
Can it get any quieter? Preliminary volume on Wednesday for the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) was 27.2 million shares. For the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ), it was a paltry 18.3 million shares. The 50-day average for SPY is 48M shares and the 200-day is 68M. For the QQQ, and the 50-day is 39M and the 200-day is 52M. The real AH action was in software, with Salesforce.com (CRM) spiking 13% and CrowdStrike Holdings (CRWD) soaring 12%. Could we actually have a period when both semis and software are ripping higher? Now that would be powerful!
