Stock movers, it's a podcast. Stock Movers ever more important with futures uh down a solid 84 points. Alexis.

00:09 Alexis

And I'm going to say the loser dujour is Intel. This stock is down 24% here in the pre-market. But let us remember, it is up about 150% year to date. That is as of yesterday, of course.

00:27 Speaker A

it's a round trip, right?

00:28 Alexis

Yeah. Exactly.

00:31 Speaker A

All right.

00:32 Alexis

The chipmaker's outlook much weaker than expected due in part to sluggishness in PCs and that's what a lot of the analysts in their notes today are calling out. They said, look, uh this is a pretty horrible one one uh analyst over at vital knowledge said, he said, but it would have been much worse if the weakness was caused by data center and AI. He said it's not. It's caused by PCs. Third quarter results, earnings uh per share beat but revenue missed and its outlook was disappointing across like every metric.

01:03 Speaker A

Okay. Do we own Intel? I mean, is it weird?

01:05 Speaker B

We are the third largest owner in the United States. Yeah.

01:09 Speaker A

Alexis Christopherus is

01:10 Alexis

Yes, she owns.

01:11 Speaker B

I own a piece. I have skin in the game with it.

01:12 Alexis

Yes, you do. Yes, you do. Yes, we all do.

01:15 Speaker B

There you go.

01:16 Alexis

It's been a good trade. The stock before today, the stock was up 150% year to date. So we're okay.

01:23 Speaker B

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So we're okay.

01:24 Alexis

Okay. Let's move on to um Reddit, the social media platform. It's also down big time. Are you on this Reddit?

01:31 Speaker A

I don't get it. I've tried.

01:33 Speaker B

I'm on it. I'm trying to do more on it. It's what I find is it's gossip.

01:38 Alexis

It's like community based chatter.

01:40 Speaker B

Yeah it's fine. It's it's a different source of information but I don't trust it.

01:46 Alexis

I take it with a grain of salt.

01:47 Speaker B

Yes, that's the best.

01:48 Speaker A

I don't get it. Continue.

01:50 Alexis

The stock is down 21%, so apparently Wall Street's not getting it either. The company's revenue outlook fell below estimates. Daily active users, we know that's a big metric for these social media platforms, sank 2% in the US. And here's a big thing. They're going to change their their strategy now. Now you can only soon you'll be able to only access Reddit if you register for an account. You know, for two decades you just allowed like you and I Paul just jump on there. That's what I do. Now that you have to have an account, I don't know if I'm going to do it.

02:22 Speaker B

See you. Yeah, see you. No thanks.

02:24 Alexis

So executives say they're willing to sacrifice some of the reach to engage a smaller but more engaged audience. We'll see if that works.

02:35 Speaker A

Okay.

02:35 Speaker B

My daughters told me to get on Reddit and I and so she's generally very smart about these things, but I'm not sure I'm going to do anything more than.

02:44 Alexis

Yeah, I don't yeah, it's going to take a lot to have me open an account. Let's go to Roblox, RBLX, the account there. I take it none of us are on Roblox either.

02:54 Speaker A

No, but I paid for it and I don't know what it is.

02:56 Alexis

Did you?

02:57 Speaker A

It's like in the feed. I'm like, what the hell is RBLX?

03:01 Alexis

Yes. It, well, you're going to find out a lot about it right now. It reported a year-over-year decline in player engagement.

03:08 Speaker B

Oh, it's games.

03:09 Alexis

Yes, it's gaming. It's deployed more robust child safety measures.

03:13 Speaker A

Shocked.

03:14 Alexis

Uh daily active users falling 9%. Uh executives are optimistic the company's investment in AI will pay off. AI affecting this company too. Roblox is down by the way 16% here uh in the pre-market. Take two interactive is going to release Grand Theft Auto 6. I think also a game none of us play.

03:34 Speaker A

Nope.

03:34 Speaker B

But it's

03:34 Alexis

Uh but some analysts expect that you're going to see inspired Grand Theft games on Roblox for the younger set, for kids who can't who are not old enough to play.

03:45 Speaker B

All right, my number three and number four offspring, they play that game.

03:49 Speaker A

Do they? Roblox?

03:50 Speaker B

Yeah and I kind of encourage it because they get they actually communicate real time when they're playing.

03:56 Alexis

Oh wait, you mean Grand Theft Auto they play?

03:57 Speaker B

Yes. And so as long as my guys are talking to each other and helping each other, that's good.

04:02 Alexis

Even if it's through Grand Theft Auto?

04:03 Speaker B

Even if it's through a game.

04:04 Speaker A

The sensitive dad.

04:05 Speaker B

Exactly.

04:05 Alexis

Don't play Grand Theft Auto.

04:07 Speaker A

I'm like, I'm like, I'm like texting, what in God's name is this?

04:11 Alexis

I'm with you.
