ハ There are many issues to be solved in the way of the English listening test. I’d like to stress two points. 【Body】 「Case1」 イ Fairness is of utmost importance in an exam. ロ The result of an entrance exam can dramatically affect the rest of a student’s life. ハ I hope that the national center will consider lending out devices to all examinees so they can learn how to use them before taking the exam. I hope that there will be no faulty IC players next year. 「Case2」 イ English listening test must contribute to the improvement of the way English is taught in the school system. ロ Japanese students have consistently scored the lowest marks among all Asian students taking TOEFL.
ハ In recent years educators have recognized the importance of the ability to communicate in English. An increase number of high schools are teaching English conversation and debating skills. Many native English speakers have been employed as assistant teachers. 【Conclusion】 We should solve these issues of the English listening test.
