１１．雲の上のお城

「若いコゼットは雑用（しんきくさい仕事）として、モンテフアメールのテナルディエの経営する田舎宿で働いている」

「若いコゼット」
雲の上にお城がありました
夜寝ているときのそこへ行きたいのです
私が休むところがありますか？
私の雲の上にお城にではなくて（この宿の中に、彼女は休み場所がない）
お持ちやでいっぱいの部屋がありました
男の子や女の子が沢山いました
だれも大声を立てたり、怒鳴ったりせず
私の雲の上にお城にではなくて
白い着物を着た婦人がいました
私を抱きかかえ、子守唄を歌う
彼女は素敵で、肌はとても柔らかでした
彼女は「コゼット、愛しているよ」って言ってくれました
私はだれも迷わない場所を知っている
私はだれも泣かない場所を知っている
泣くことは全く許されていない
私の雲の上のお城では
助けてください。その声が聞こえます
掃除はまだ終わりそうにないし
床をこすり、磨く掃除が
あっ、いけない。奥様だ！
