American Tower operates wireless and broadcast communications real estate, including wireless towers, distributed antenna systems, and managed rooftop systems. The company leases multitenant space to wireless service providers and radio and television broadcasters. AMT entered the Data Centers sector with the acquisition of a joint venture interest in CoreSite in 2021 and currently owns a 72% share. As of the beginning of 2026, the REIT is in 22 countries on five continents with 149,000 tower sites. Total operating revenues in 2025 topped $10.7 billion. North American assets accounted for just under half of total revenues with data centers accounting for about 10%. Top U.S. tenants include T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon. The current market cap is $85 billion, and the shares are a component of the S&P 500.

American Tower Earnings: Growth Remains Consistent With Our Expectations
American Tower owns and operates about 150,000 wireless towers throughout the US, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and Africa. It also owns and/or operates 30 data centers in 11 US markets through its CoreSite segment. The company's customer base in the tower business is very concentrated, with most revenue in each market generated by the top three or four mobile carriers. The company operates 42,000 towers in the US, which accounted for about half of total revenue in 2025. Outside the US, American Tower operates about 47,000 towers in Latin America (dominated by Brazil), 33,000 towers in Europe, and 28,000 towers in Africa. American Tower operates as a REIT.
