  • Market Update: CB, F, FLEX, ISRG, TSCO, VZ

The major indices are lower at midday, with the Nasdaq leading the fall. The index is off almost 3% as big names in techland continue disappoint on earnings (Intel, Sandisk, Advanced Micro, etc.). Meanwhile, investors are also now attuned to the midterm elections on Tuesday and at the very least are distracted by the $6 billion hack of Binance, which has crypto markets tumbling. The VIX Volatility Index is up 12% today at $19.18, crude oil is up 2% to $104 per barrel, and the 10-year Treasury yield is at 4.95%.
