Winners of All-Goa Carol Singing Contest 2015

St. Michael’s Choir, Orlim bagged the 1 st Prize in the Open Category at the All-Goa Carol Singing Contest organized by Betalbatim Cricket Club at Betalbatim on 18 th December 2015. Fr. Agnel Higher Secondary, Verna were the Runners-up while Club Acoustica of Chowgule College, Margao won the 3 rd spot. 
In the School’s Category, St. Xavier’s High School, Macazana were the Winners. King’s School, S. Jose de Areal took the 2 nd Place while Sacred Heart High School, Carmona won the 3 rd Prize.

Chief Guest Viola Pacheco, congratulated the winners and Betalbatim Cricket Club for organizing the contest excellently every year. She also had a word of praise for parents and teachers of the participants. Parish Priest Fr. Pascoal Afonso presided and along with Guest of Honour  Fr. Milagres Fernandes gave  away the prizes with the Chief Guest. Mr. Arlindo de Miranda and Mr. Alvaro Pereira were the judges while Mrs. Cheryl Athaide Lobo Cota proposed the vote of thanks.

Farming gets a boost in Betalbatim



Farming in Betalbatim will be different from now onwards. Just as it is rightly said. the brave move forward where the weak fear to tread..The traditions of our ancestors have to be kept alive, and this has been rightly understood by a young dynamic lad of our village. Annual Sports at St. Jude's High School, Betalbatim


St. Jude's High School, Betalbatim organised their annual sports on 5th Dec. 2015. Chief Guest of the function was Bruno Pereira ( ex-teacher of St. judes high school) and son of the soil. Guest of honour was Mr. Reginaldo Diniz yet another ( ex-teacher of St. judes high school) and son of the soil. A colourful display of various programs kept the crowd entertained .   
Students look smart in their uniform and shocks and shoes. Dressed according to their house colours, the bright sun light up the reds,blues,greens and yellows as the the students marched and displayed their  skills.

A normal child would be accompanied by a parent to the nearest shoe shop and after trying out the best shoes that fits the leg, it would be bought. The e-commerce era has brought about a revolution , where you can shop from the comforts of your house and with smart phones making accessing net even easy. Now a days  popular shoes are picked online   and you can even save a lot as most of shoes bought online have discounted rates.
