St. Jude's High School gets 91% result in March 2016 S.S.C. Exams

St. Jude's High School , Betalbatim gets 91% result in March 2016 S.S.C. Exams conducted by the Goa Board of Education.  There were a total of 46 students in the Current Std X class. The total number of students that appeared was 44.

Congratulations to the successful students who have put in their efforts. A special mention to the teachers who have tirelessly prepared the students for their exams. Under the able leadership of the Manager Rev. Fr. Pascoal Afonso the school will definitely soar higher in years to come.

Inauguration of St. Judes High School Hall

The much awaited inauguration of the school hall was a dream come true for the villagers of Betalbatim. Fr. Pascoal Afonso ( Manager of St. Judes High School & the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Remedios Church, Betalbatim ) cut the ribbon as the crowd gathered clapped with smiles on their faces. Also in the picture is Mr. Hillary Cota (RHS) and Mr. Isidore Mendes (LHS), Mrs. Loretta Colaco ( Headmistress) and Smt. Nelly Rodrigues ( Zilla Parishad member). Fr. Pascoal latter said a prayer followed by blessing of the hall. The students of St. Judes High School presented a programme of songs and dances.

Eye camp at St. Jude's High School

Mukta Opticians conducted an eye camp for students from St. Jude's High School , Betalbatim. Only the Primary Section students could benefit from this eye camp. 


Inter-School Elocution Competition

The Joseph Memorial Trust , Betalbatim will organise Inter-School Elocution Competition on 15th July 2012 at 10.00 a.m at Dr. Jose Cota Memorial Hall, Betalbatim.

Top ranking students  from Betalbatim,  appearing in  S.S.C.E and H.S.S.C.E. of Goa Board   will be felicitated.

Event update: Inter-School Elocution Competition

The Joseph Memorial Trust , Betalbatim will organise Inter-School Elocution Competition in addition to its annual felicitation ceremony at Dr. Jose Cota Memorial Hall. The theme for the competition is "WE STUDENTS MUST MAKE A DIFFERENCE " . Students who wish to participate can send in their entries through their respective schools. Teacher Lorraine Godinho of St. Jude's High School , Betalbatim, can be contact at 0832 - 2880035 for rules and entry forms during school hours.

The trust was formed in memory of Late. Mr. Joseph Afonso who as a teacher worked tirelessly in every school that he was posted, including St. Jude's High School.The past students of  St. Jude's High School , Betalbatim who were lucky to be taught by him will remember him as an excellent teacher who disciplined and moulded them infusing the right values. His three term stint as the head of the village helped betalbatim wake up from a sleepy village to the road of development.

For the last fifteen years the trust has been recognising efforts of students and felicitates top rankers in S.S.C.E and H.S.S.C.E. of Goa Board at their annual event.

St.Jude's High School , Betalbatim missed the magic figure of 100% passing by a small fraction.

The performance of this year's batch of students who appeared for S.S.C.E was highlighted by the three distinctions .

Miss Sparsh Martires - 85%, Master Joshua Diniz - 79.5 % Master Tellif Fernandes - 79.5%
the other results included five first classes, nine second classes and 10 pass classes.
