おせち料理を作り始める
おせち料理をつくりはじめた。きょうは五品つくった。明日やはり五品つくる予定。 我家の伝統の正月料理は、祖父母から亡父母に代替わり後、さらに私の代になって確か年が明ければ120年つづいているはずだ。その年月、ほぼ同じ料理をつくって来た。 とはいえここ10年、つまり父母が亡くなって以後、わたしは随分簡素化してしまった。父母の生前から私が料理していたのだが、父母の手前、一気に簡素化するに忍びなかったのだ。現在の私は祝賀の膳に山海の産物がそろえば品数は必要ないのである。 簡素化したとはいえ、料理は母がつくっていたものとまったく同じだ。味もおそらく同じであろう。 しかし、この我家の伝統も私の代で終りであろう。私は伝統の料理法を誰にもおしえていない。母から受け継いだ私は、私一人で数十年つくりつづけて来た。私で終り。それで良いと思っている。そして、はたして私がいつまでつくりつづけられるか？ ハハハハ、なんでもおもしろがる私は、きょうも包丁をさばきながらそんなことを想い、おもしろがっていた。 最後の晩餐？ 死ぬ前に何を喰いたいか？ くだらない！ I started to cook New Year dishes. 種村季弘著「水の迷宮」
碩学、故・種村季弘氏の泉鏡花論集成「水の迷宮」が、国書刊行会から刊行された（2020年12月21日刊）。論文、エッセー、講演録、対談など、全集未収録作品も含む種村氏の泉鏡花に関するすべての論考を収めている。美しい本である。 四六判 316頁 函入 厚表紙パラフィン紙掛け 栞紐付 定価：本体4500円＋税 函意匠；山田英春、装釘装画：小村雪岱 ところで、この本に収められている論文「泉鏡花と白山信仰」において種村氏は、私山田維史の論考「夢幻能の劇構造と白山信仰私考」に言及されていられる（238~9p)。ちょっと申し添えます。

門松を飾る
年明けの第１作となる作品の下絵ができた。年来の主題の異相（変奏）と言ってよいだろう。 正月を迎える門松を飾った。昔と比べて大層簡略化したものだが、次弟のサジェスチョンに依って一部に亡父の方法を踏襲した。 THe sketch of the first work of the new year has beencompleted. 2021年の描初の作品の構想
2021年の年明け早々の描初めのための作品の構想。いくつものアイデアのメモのようなスケッチから一つを選び、まずそれを手始めにすることに。構想はほぼまとまったので明日から細部のデッサンにとりかかる。そのデッサンをもとにキャンヴァスに下絵を写して今年の仕事を終わりにしよう。 A concepy of a work for the beginning of drawing early in the new year of 2021. おとなのための童話
おとなのための童話 むかしむかし、あるところに名うての泥棒の親分がいました。手下をたくさん従えて、隠れもなく大手をふって闊歩していました。「ふん！ 俺様を捕まえられるなら捕まえてみろ！」と心の中で思っていました。 もちろん、あの手この手を使って奉行所の役人を脅したり賺したりして晦渋には怠りません。まるで自分程の善人はいないのだと町の人たちに信じこませるために演説もしました。その演説の中身は何の意味もないようなことだったのですが、同じ言葉を10っぺん20っぺんと繰り返し、100っぺんも繰り返していると、「もしかしたら本当なのかもしれない」と思う人々もでてきました。嘘八百の無意味な言葉を言っている泥棒の親分本人さへ、「俺様の言っていることは本当のことなのだ！」と信じだすしまつでした。 自己暗示ですね。また、嘘も方便と言いますが、正しい道に進むためにはその入口でちょっとした嘘を言うことも許される、というのが本当の意味です。けれどもこの泥棒の親分は、自分ひとりが安穏気楽に生きるためには嘘がおおいに役立つ、と考えたかもしれません。 この親分は、人々の心のうごきをよく知っていました。「俺様は偉いんだぞ！」という顔をしてふんぞり返っていれば、人々は「あのおかたは本当に偉いんだ」と思い込んでしまうのです。キラキラした宝石で身を飾り立てれば、人々は平伏してしまう。そんな人間の心のうごきをよく知っていました。 ところが慢心とは恐ろしいものです。我が世の春とばかりに楽しんでいたのですが、ひょんなことから悪事が露見しそうになったのです。 あちらこちらに配置しておいた手下どもは火消しに奔走しました。奉行所の役人の首をすげかえる算段もしました。御定法を改悪する算段もしました。 町の人々も親分が繰り返す同じ言葉に不審をいだき始めました。繰り返される言葉がまるで空念仏のように中身が無いことに気付きはじめたのです。 そのうちに手下の中には、親分の悪事がまるで自分の所為のようにされだしたので、だんだん嫌気が差してきた者もいます。 事は、町の人々に目隠しをして除け者にし、親分の息がかかった一味だけで火消しするわけには行かなくなったのです。 しかし、さすがに大泥棒の親分、簡単にお縄をちょうだいするわけには行かない。ここは勝負どころだ。そう考えて、自分の方からお調べを受けることにしました。そして虚仮の一念と言われようとも、あいも変わらぬ「私が申上げる事こそ真実でございます」と言うことにしました。 取り調べの役人は、何を考えたのか、百戦錬磨の大泥棒に「お前は泥棒か？」と尋問したのです。 泥棒の親分は応えました。「お役人様、とんでもございません、なんで私が泥棒などしましょうや。町の人々の為に、そればかり日夜考えている私でございます。・・・おわかりでしょう？ わかっていますよね！」 「よくぞ言った。よくぞ本当のことを言ってくれた。町の者たちが噂しているお前の悪事とやらは、みなお前の手下がやらかしたことにちがいない。その証拠はあがっておる。あいつを御奉行所にひったてて、一件落着じゃ。わしも枕を高くして眠れるわい。ワッハッハ」 昔々、あるところに大泥棒の親分がいました。嘘つきでしたが、民衆の心の動きをよく知っていましたので、つぎつぎと手下を使いながら節穴同然の役人など屁の河童だと嘯いていました。 "A Nursery Tale for Adult" Once upon a time there was a famous thief bosssomewhere. すごいすごい。日曜日に無観客でおこなわれたサッカーのイタリア1部リーグ、ACミラン（AC Milan）対 サッスオロ（Sassuolo）戦で、ミランのフォワード、ラファエル・レオ（Rafael Leao）選手が試合開始からわずか6.2秒後にゴールを決めた。 この最速ゴールはイタリア1部リーグ史上初めての記録であるだけでなくヨーロッパの５大サッカーリーグ史上でも初めての記録だという。 ちなみにイタリア1部リーグのこれまでの最速ゴール記録は2001年にピアチェンツァのパオロ・ポッジ（Paolo Poggi）選手が対フィオレンティーナ戦でのゴール8秒。８秒というのも凄いが、ポッジ氏は今回のレオ選手の6.2秒を祝福したそうだ。 ACミランは現在ジタン選手が負傷者リストに入っていてメンバーから欠けている。レオ選手がゴールを決めた後、前半戦でアレクシス・サレムエイカース（Alexis Saelemaekers）選手がゴールを決めて2-1で勝利した。 それにしてもこの記録的な試合が無観客だったのはイタリアのサッカーファンにとってはCOVID-19禍がなんともやりきれなかっただろう。私は同情しますよ。せめてもYouTubeで観戦しましょう。感染に充分気をつけて！ラファエル・レオ選手の快記録 Wow wow. 今夜、木星と土星が大接近
397年ぶりの天文ショー、木星と土星が最接近する今夜。ごらんになれましたか？ 東京都は残念ながらおそらく何処からも肉眼では観る事ができなかったのではないでしょうか。かくいう我家の近辺からも観えません。 私は熱いコーヒーを片手に持ってしばらくベランダにたたずんでいたのです。南西方面の夜空はどんより曇っていました。しかし半月は煌煌と輝き、その左上方には火星が赤く輝いて見えているのでが・・・。 木星と土星は月の右下方、かなり下方の天空に見えるはず。低い空ゆえに街を覆うような薄墨色の雲に視界が遮られてしまうのです。見える地方では望遠鏡で観ると土星の輪も見えているようです。 まあ、こればかりは人間がいくら力んでもどうにもなりません。仕方がない、やはり次回の2080年まで生きることにしましょう！「Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars.（木星や火星の春がどんなか私に見させて）」と歌いながら（＊）。【＊】歌曲『フライ・ミー・トゥ・ザ・ムーン』より。 The first astronomical show in 397 years, tonight when Jupiter and Saturn are closest. フリッツ・クライスラーのヴァイオリン演奏
フリッツ・クライスラー（1875-1962）のヴァイオリン演奏を懐かしく聴いていた。 昔、父の所持していたレコードにクライスラーが演奏したファリャ作曲『スペインの七つの民謡から第4番ホタ』があった。私は子どものころによく聴いていた。 小学５年生のとき、４年生のときの担任だった生亀先生が遠い他校に転任になっていたのだが、ある日、我家に遊びに来られた。先生は音楽大学を出られていて、私はしばしばピアノ伴奏を命じられたり、また、先生は柔道家という経歴の持ち主でもあり、私は放課後に先生に柔道をならっていたのだった。我家にひょっこり遊びにいらした先生と私を父が写真撮影してくれたりレコードを聴いたりしていたのだが、クライスラーの演奏する『ホタ』のレーベルを見て先生は「これはめずらしいクライスラーの記念盤だ。だいじにしたほうがいい」とおっしゃった。 私はこの後、中学入学と同時に両親の元を離れて25歳過ぎまでたまに家に帰るだけの独り暮しになった。両親家族もこの間に福島県から北海道に転居し、そのどさくさにクライスラーのレコードは失われてしまった。また私の記憶からも抜け落ちてしまった。 私がイラストレーターとして各出版社からの執筆依頼に応じて忙しく駆けずり回るようになり、たしかどこかの出版社へ出向いたときだと憶えているが、タクシーの中でラジオから流れて来た音楽に「はっ！」となった。まぎれもなくクライスラーがヴァイオリン演奏するファリャ作曲『ホタ』だった。 ３分ほどの短い曲だ。しかし私は一瞬のうちに子どもの頃に還っていた。生亀先生を思い出した。 きょうYouTubeで聴いていたのはその曲である。古いSPレコードの針音も懐かしく・・・ ついでに述べれば、この曲におけるクライスラーのヴァイオリン奏法は複雑であると私は思う。まるでボンゴを叩いているかのような音のピチカート。あるいはギターのようなピチカート奏法。また弦と弓との接触のさせか方も2,3の異なった方法である。ピアノ伴奏だけなのだが、いくつかの楽器と共演しているかのようだ。単純な旋律の短い曲が興趣ある楽しい曲になって聴こえる。クライスラーが演奏するホタ Today, I was listening the violin performance of Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962). アレクサンダー・マロフィーフ氏のピアノ演奏
昨日と今日と二日間にわたり事務的な小用を片付けた。 その後はしばらくぶりに音楽を聴いて過ごした。しめくくりには、現在私がもっとも注目している18歳の若いピアニスト、アレクサンダー・マロフィーフさんの新しいヴィデオを彼が発信しているYouTubeで聴いた。 ニコライ・カルロビッチ・メッドナー（1879-1951）作曲『ピアノソナタ 回想；イ短調 作品38の1』。2019年12月26日にペテルスベルクのマリインスキー劇場コンサート・ホールにおける第14回マリインスキー国際ピアノフェスティヴァルでの演奏。 若いマロフィーフ氏は『回想』と題された曲を通して何を回想されたのだろう。私は昨夜夢の中で63年前の中学生のときに暮らした場所に立って、老人として孫のような少年少女たちに出逢っていた。マロフィーフ氏は曲が終わったのち、通常よりかなり長い時間、まるで瞑想するかのように静かに消えた音に耳を澄ましていた。おそらく観客も固唾を呑んで彼を見ていたのだろう。やがて会場のどこかで拍手が鳴り、それにうながされたように一斉に拍手が起り、マロフィーフ氏はピアノを離れて観客に挨拶をした。ちょっとめずらしい時間だと私は思った。そしてマロフィーフ氏は何を回想したのだろうと、ふと思ったのだった。 彼の演奏スタイルは、私は、なんだかだんだんグレン・グールドに似てきているような気がする。アレクサンダー・マロフィーフ氏の演奏するバッハを聴きたいものだ。Alexander Malofeev I cleaned up my clerical work yesterday and todayfor two days. I thought itwas a rare time. And I wondered what Mr. Malofeev recalled. I feel that his playing style is becoming moreand more similar to Glenn Gould. 小惑星リュグウの気体に研究者は期待
JAXAの小惑星探査機「はやぶさ２」が小惑星リュグウから持ち帰ったカプセルには、研究者が期待した以上の試料が採取されていたようだ。微粒子の数多くの砂のみならず、リュグウ由来の気体も採取できたという。地球以外の天体からガスを採取して持ち帰れたのは、世界でこれが初めてだ。 試料の観察や岩石の重量測定などは年内に始め、太陽系の起源や生命物質の探索は来年６月からだそうだ。いずれにしろ、研究者でなくとも、私は胸躍らせている。 It seems that the capsules brought back from theasteroid Ryugu by JAXA's asteroid explorer "Hayabusa2"contained more samples than the researchers expected.It is said that not only a lot of fine paricles of sand butalso gas derived from Ryugu could be collected. 丈が伸び過ぎて長年気になっていた柿の木の枝伐りをした。 枯れ葉が堕ちるのを待っていたのだが、見上げれば４mもあるので、なかなか踏ん切れずにいた。年末も近づき、おっとり刀ならぬ手鋸や枝伐り鋏や高枝伐り鋏を持出し、40分ほど奮闘した。 太い枝もバサリバサリと伐ったので、はたして今後柿の木にどんな影響が出るのやら。長年、秋になるとたわわの実を付けてくれていたので、その枝を伐られた柿の木は痛みとともに驚嘆しただろう。「この恩知らず」と。 40分も見上げていたので、クラクラしてきた。もう一カ所伐りたかったのだが止めて、後日のこととした。この寒さのなかで汗みづくだ。着ていたものを全て取り替えた。 瀬を早み暮れる行雲冬鴉 青穹（山田維史） I pruned a persimmon tree that I had been worriedabout for many years because it became too tall. 悠久の宇宙に目を向ければ
午前中から午後にかけて、予約を受けていた福祉関係の仕事。 それはさて、地球上の人間のてんやわんやは相変わらずだが、悠久の宇宙に目を向ければ2020年も多くの天文現象を観ることができた。 一月、四分儀流星群が極大になった。 四月、月が地球に最も近い満月となった。私も我家のベランダからいつもより大きな満月を楽しんだ。 六月、21日、日本全国で部分日蝕が観測された。アフリカでは金環日蝕だった。 七月、金星が最大光度となり、ひときわ輝いて見えた。 八月、ペルセウス流星群が極大となって観られた。 十月、火星が地球に最接近した。その距離、約6,207万キロメーター。 十二月、2日後の14日に双子座流星群が極大になる。 さらに2１日には木星と土星が最接近する。この現象が起るのは1226年3月4日の夜明け前に起って以来。じつに794年ぶりの天文ショー。今回を見逃すと次は2080年3月15日。その次は2400年だそうだ。・・・私は2080年は135歳。2400年は455歳。どうだ、生きてみるか？ ハハハ 流星や老いて人世に呵々大笑 青穹（山田維史） From the morning to the afternoon, welfare-related work that was reserved. 「あっ、あのときの！」
今朝方、トイレに起き、再びベッドに潜り込んで眠りに入るまでのほんの一瞬、まったく忘れていた50年前の或る夜のことを思い出した。 酒を喰らって遊んでいた25歳頃の忘れて当然のようなまったく何でも無いことだった。私は法律の勉強から転向して絵の勉強を始めたばかりで、作品と言えるようなものは何一つ描けていなかった。大学は卒業したが、就職もせず、ちょこちょこアルバイトで暮らしていた。そのアルバイト先の会社のトップの方に連れられて、その夜、酒を御馳走になったのだ。 その方は、知る人ぞ知る方で、元某出版社のマンガ週刊誌の編集長だったが、資本系列を同じにする新社が設立されてそのトップに就任された。私はそこで時々イベントなどを開催するときに単純な事務的な仕事のアルバイトをしていた。 設立されたばかりなので社員は年輩も若輩もみな新規採用者ばかりだった。若い社員は私とほぼ同年齢だったので、すぐに親しくなり、酒飲み友達にもなった。 トップのA氏は、新社を軌道に乗せるために大変であっただろうが温厚で気さくな方で、アルバイトの私にも良くしてくださった。 その夜、A氏が連れて行ってくださったのは、六本木にほど近い或る住居専用マンションだった。前もって電話連絡してあったのだろう、ごく普通のお宅の玄関を入った。 通された一室はかなり広く、その部屋だけやや照明を落として飾り気のない落ち着いた雰囲気のクラブになっていた。といっても、客用の設えは二組だけ。互いに5メートルも離してあったろうか。いわゆる会員制クラブであるが、どうやら客はマダムと知り合いの各出版社の編集長クラスらしく、その夜も私たちの先客だったのは某女性週刊誌の編集長たち3人ばかりだった。そのマンションには当時人気があった或る歌手が住んでいたので、そんな関係があったのかもしれない。 私たちはA氏を中心に、しかし銘々勝手なおしゃべりをしながら笑いあっていた。そのうちに何時の間にか先客グループは帰り、マダムは私たちの席で酒の世話をしながら話に加わった。 誰かが、たしか傍らにあったギターを弾き、私に歌えと言った。突然歌えと言われて困ったなと思いつつも断りはしないが、私の奇癖だろうか、そのようなときに普段まったく歌ったことがない曲を歌うのだ。その夜、私が歌ったのは、美空ひばりさんの「悲しい酒」である。カラオケが無い時代である。酔っぱらった頭で、記憶の中から歌詞をひっぱり出していた。 さて、その夜から10年後、私はイラストレーターとして雑誌に描くようになっていた。 ある方が亡くなった。その一周忌だったろうか。文京区白山の或る寺で法要が営まれ、私も参列した。別座敷で餐が供された。そのときだった、はす向かいの婦人が私に「しばらくでした」と挨拶された。私はおそらく咄嗟に返事ができず、お顔を見つめたのかもしれない。「私の家に来てくれましたね」と婦人は言った。 「あっ、あのときの！」 「あのときは楽しかったですね。お元気でしたか？」 今朝方、不意に思い出したことだ。

美術品を守る猫たち
世界四大美術館といえばルーブル美術館（フランス）、エルミタージュ美術館（ロシア）、メトロポリタン美術館（アメリカ）、プラド美術館（スペイン）。その収蔵品はそれぞれ約300万点といわれている。まあ、どの美術館を訪れても、展示中の美術品でさえとても1日で見きれない。鑑賞的な態度をとればルーブル美術館だと1週間でも足りないだろう。なにしろ部屋数だけで2,000。もちろんすべてが展示室ではまったくないが、それにしても館内を歩き回っているだけで目眩がしてくる。 ところでエルミタージュ美術館の膨大な収蔵品を守っているのが猫だということをご存知だろうか。美術館の地下に遙か昔から猫達が住みついていて、鼠の害から美術品を守っているのである。これはヨーロッパでは有名な話なのだが、じつは昨日8日のCNNにこの話がニュースとして報じられた。 CNNが伝えていたのは、フランスの篤志家が遺産をエルミタージュ美術館の猫達に遺贈したというのである。現在、美術館の地下には約50匹の猫が住みついているそうだ。この猫達の祖先たちは女帝エリザベータ（在位1741〜1761）の時代からエルミタージュの地下で暮し、次の女帝エカテリーナ2世が1764年に美術館として開館すると、エカテリーナ2世は猫達に美術品の保護者の地位を与えた、とCNNは書いている。以来、今日までボランティアや美術館職員が猫達の世話をし、猫専用の洗濯機や医療費は寄付によって賄われているのだそうだ。 ちょっと愉快な話だ。美術泥棒の「ねずみ小僧」もエルミタージュ美術館は三舎を避けるかしら？ ハハハ。 The four largest museums in the world are theLouvre Museum (France), the Herumitage Museum (Russia), the Metropolitan Museum of Art (USA),and the Prado Museum (Spain). Cnn reported that a French volunteer had be-queathed heritage to the cats at the HermitageMuseum. Carrently, about 50 cats have lived in thebasement of the museum. 探査機「はやぶさ2」をめぐって
探査機「はやぶさ2」が小惑星「リュウグウ」から帰還し、採取した砂が入ったカプセルを成層圏突入まえに分離し、カプセルはオーストラリア南部の砂漠に着地して無事に回収された。「はやぶさ2」は、地球突入軌道を逆噴射して外れ、あらたなミッションのため他の小惑星に向かって今後100億キロの旅に発った。「はやぶさ2」が地球に帰還するのは2031年だそうだ。 私がこの宇宙探査計画で特に注目したのは、「はやぶさ2」が小惑星「リュウグウ」において人工的にクレーターをつくることに成功したり砂の採取に成功した実質的偉業もさることながら、「はやぶさ2」が地球に帰還途中でカプセルを分離した後、即座に第2のミッションのための地球突入軌道離脱に成功したことだ。 映画『アポロ13』をご覧になった方はお分かりだろうが、あの映画で、事故後のアポロ13が地球帰還を試みる中で、軌道修正能力を失った宇宙船の成層圏への突入角度が乗員宇宙飛行士の死活問題としてクロースアップされていた。すなわち突入角度が正確でなければ、宇宙船は成層圏にはね返されてしまい、永遠の彼方へ飛んで行ってしまうのである。 私が「はやぶさ2」が成層圏突入直前に数度の逆噴射によってあらたな軌道に入り、今後11年間の旅に向かったとき、思い出していたのはアポロ13のことだった。映画『アポロ13』は、フィクションではなかったからである。 日本の宇宙航空研究開発機構（JAXA）やアメリカ航空宇宙局（NASA) の数多くのミッションに私が関心を寄せるのは、科学的な興味はもちろんであるが、人知の限りをつくして未知の領域における言わば人間の「安全性」について「想定」する能力を実感するからである。 ところで、2018年に旅立った人類初の太陽探査ミッションNASA「パーカー・ソーラー・プロウブ」の宇宙探査機は、太陽に接近し、前例のないデータを地球に送ってきている。その最初の学術記録が2019年12月4日に「Nature」誌に発表された。約50年前にパーカー博士が太陽風の存在について論文を発表した。博士を讃えて名付けられたこのミッションの最初の成果として、太陽からの様々な物質の噴射である太陽風がどのように振舞っているかという新たな理解が得られている。 ついでながら、私は「パーカー・ソーラー・プロウブ」ミッションのキャンペーンに参加した。NASAは私の名前をこの太陽探査機に積載してくれている。どうせ死ぬのなら、太陽に突っ込んで死ぬのもいいかという私の夢想とともに。地球上の人間はいまや新型コロナウィルス禍でてんやわんや。コロナはコロナでも、私の身を焼くのは本物のコロナだ（太陽探査機は科学的想定を極限まで追求して技術設計されているので燃えないのですよ。念のため）。 The spacecraft "Hayabusa2" returned from the aster-oid "Ryugu" and separated the capsule containing the collected sand before entering the stratosphere, and the capsule landed in the desert in southern Australia and were successfully recovered. "Hayabusa2" retro-rocketed the Earth's orbit and departed, and set out on a 10 billion-kilometer journey toward another asteroid for a new mission. It is said that "Hayabusa2" will retrn to Earth in 2031. What I paid particular attention to in this space ex-plpration project was Hayabusa, as well as the sub-stantial achivement that "Hayabusa2" suceeded in artificially creating a crater on the asteroid "Ryugu"and collecting sand. And, still more, "Hayabusa2" separated the capsule on the way back to Earth, and immediately succeeded in leaving the Earth's rush orbit for the second mission. As you can see from the movie "Apollo 13", in thatmovie, while Apollo 13 tried to return to Earth afterthe accident, the angle of entry of the spacecraft thatlost its orbit correction ability into the stratospherewas vital. It was closed up as a problem. That is, ifthe plunge angle is not accurate, the spacecraft willbe repelled into the stratosphere and will fly awayforever. When "Hayabusa2" entered a new orbit by severalreverse injections just before entering the strato-sphere and headed for the next 11 years of travel, I remembered Apollo 13. This is because the movie"Apollo 13" was not fictuon. I am interested in many mission of JAXA and NASA,not to mention scientific interests, but how to the best of their knowledge for unknown territories. AndI think because they realize the ability to "assume" human "safety". By the way, the space probe of the first solar ex-ploration mission "Parker Solar Probe"of NASA, which departed in 2018, is approaching the sun and sending unprecedented data to the Earth. Itsfirst academic record was published in "Nature"on December 4, 2019. About 50 years ago, Dr. Parker published a treatise on the existence of solar wind. The firstachievemunt of this mission, named in honor ofDr. Parker is a new underatanding of how thesolar wind, which is the blowing of varioussubstances from the sun, behaves. 大飯原発設置許可取り消し判決（日記；英語版）
After the East Japan Great Earthequake and the re-sulting meltdown of the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, the residents of the six Kinki prefectures filed a claim that there was a problem with the safety of the Kansai Electric Power Ōii Nuclear Power Plant, which restarted. The decision of the trial seeking the cancellation of the instaration permission given to Kansai Electric Power by the Nuclear Regula-tory Commission was made by the Osaka District Court (Judge Mori Kagihajime), pointing out the illegal-ity of the dicision of the Regulatory Commission and revoking the installation permission. I think this decision is an epoch-making decision as a judicial decision in the trials over several nuclear power plants so far. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is an inquiringbody in line with the national nuclear powe promotionpolicy, and although its expertise and academic knowl-edge are recognized, I think that it does not necessarily make a strict pursuit of the future safety of the people. Even if they have the ability to make extreme assump-tions (which a decent scholar must naturally have), if their that judgement conflicts with national policy, theyas soon as had fell into opportunism. Unless they are avery optimistic "scholar", they have probablyn't for-gotten the accidents that shook the world of nuclear power and nuclear power plants in the last 75 years, and I don't think they not verifying their specializeddata. ... The last 75 years is exactly my age. Early in the world's first criticality accident knownas the "devill's core", inwhich two person killed by a plutonium criticality accident (1945, 1946, USA) due to a careless experiment at the Los Alamos Institute. Chalk River Reactor Explosion (1952, Canada), Windscale Fire Accident (1957, USA), Partial Core Meltdown at Santa Susana Laboratory Accident (1959, USA). And numerous nuclear accidents that occurrent ineach country in the 1960s. 1970s, Greiswald Power Plant Fire (East germany),Bohunice Power Plant Reactor Fuel Melting Accident(1979, USA). Furthermore, in the 1980s, it was recorded as the radioactive material leakage accident (1980, France) due to the melting of fuel at the San Laurent de Zoe Nuclear Power Plant. And the first nuclear accident inJapan, the release of radioactive materials into theocean at the Tsuruga Nuclear Power Plant and theexcessive exposure of its workers (1981, Fukuiprefecture). The INES level 7 accident at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant (1986, Soviet Union),Accidents in Brazil and Spain. In the 1990s, in Japan many nuclear accident occurred. Mihama, Hamaoka, Monju, Power Reactor Tōkai,Shiga, Tōkai Village. again Mihama. And on March 11, 2011, Fukushima Daiichi NuclearPower Station's INES level 7 accident, and on thesame day Fukushima Daini Nuclear Power Station's INES level 3 accident. March 18 Tokai Daini PowerStation accident, March 29 Onagawa Nuclear PowerStation accident. 2012, Tōkai reprocessing facility accident. 2017, The exposure accident at Ōarai Research and Development Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency. Of these accidents, the Chernobyl and FukushimaDaiichi Nuclear Power Plants are INES level 7, thehighest "danger value" ever. "INES level" is the International Nuclear andRadiological Event Scale. There is such a truly disgraceful internationalrecord in Japan. Nevertheless, "The examination and judgement of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, whichapproved the installation of the Ōii Nuclear PowerPlant, has not considered the matters to be con-sidered, and the judgement is unreasonable," saidthe Osaka District Court, Judge Mori Kagihajime. The Japanese ( I don't means of course this"Japanese" is Japanese of all) say always they were unexpected about the mistakes they made, as see in traditional excuses at public institutions. I sus-pect they lack the ability to make "unexpected" assumptions. I think it exposes the lack of simu-lation ability and the irresponsibility and oppor-tunism of public officials. I think the Japanese military during the PacificWar lacked similar assumption and simulationcapabilities. Anyway, I think that the trend of unexpected excuses is overwhelming Japanese society, as if a robber who was held down on the scene re-gained his place. 大飯原発設置許可取り消し判決
東日本大震災およびそれによる東京電力福島第一原子力発電所のメルトダウンを伴った重大事故後、再稼動した関西電力大飯原発の安全性に問題があるとして、近畿6府県の住民が提訴した国の原子力規制委員会が関西電力に与えた設置許可の取り消しをもとめる裁判の判決が大阪地裁（森鍵一裁判長）で下され、規制委の判断に違法性を指摘し、設置許可を取り消した。 この判決は、これまでの幾つかの原発を巡る裁判の司法判断として、私は画期的な判決だと思う。 原子力規制委員会は国の原発推進政策に沿った審問機関であり、その専門性と学識は認められるけれども、かならずしも国民の将来的な安全性について厳格に極限まで追求して答申してはいない。たとえ極限的な想定をする能力があったとしても（まともな学者なら当然あらねばならない能力だ）、その判断が国の政策と齟齬すると、途端に御都合主義に堕する、と私は観て来た。よほど能天気な「学者」でもない限り、過去75年間に起きた原子力と原子力発電所の世界を震撼させた事故を忘れていないだろうし、その専門的なデータを検証していないわけはなかろう。・・・過去75年間とは、まさに私の年齢だ。 早くは■ロスアラモス研究所の不注意な実験によるプルトニウム臨界事故（1945年,1946年、アメリカ）によって死者を出した「悪魔の核」として知られる世界最初の臨界事故、■チョーク・リバー原子炉爆発（1952年、カナダ）、■ウィンズケール原子炉火災事故（1957年、イギリス）、■サンタスザーナ実験所の部分的炉心溶融事故（1959年、アメリカ）。 ■そして1960年代の各国で起った数々の原子力事故。 1970年代の■グライスヴァルト発電所火災（東ドイツ）、■ボフニチェ発電所の炉の燃料溶融事故（チェコスロヴァキア）、■スリーマイル島原子力発電所事故（1979年、アメリカ）。 さらに1980年代は、■サン・ローラン・デ・ゾー原子力発電所の燃料溶融による放射性物質漏洩事故（1980年、フランス）、そして日本で最初の原発事故と記録されている■敦賀原子力発電所の放射性物質海洋放出とその作業員の超過被爆（1981年、福井県）、■チェルノブイリ原子力発電所のINESレベル7の事故（1986年、ソ連）、■ブラジルやスペインの事故。 1990年代に入ると、日本における原発事故のテンコ盛りである。■美浜、■浜岡、■もんじゅ、■動燃東海、■志賀、■東海村。再び■美浜。 そして2011年3月11日の■福島第一原子力発電所のINESレベル7の事故、同日の■福島第二原子力発電所のINESレベル3の事故。3月18日の■東海第二発電所事故、3月29日の■女川原子力発電所の事故。 2012年の■東海再処理施設事故。2017年■日本原子力研究開発機構大洗研究開発センター被爆事故。 これらの事故の内、チェルノブイリ原子力発電所と福島第一原子力発電所の事故はINESレベル７という、これまでで最高の「危険値」である。 「INESレベル」は、国際原子力事象評価尺度（International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale）。 このようなまことに不名誉な国際的な記録が日本に存在する。 それにもかかわらず、「大飯原発設置許可をした原子力規制委員会の審査・判断は検討すべき事項を検討しておらず、その判断は不合理である」、と大阪地裁森鍵一裁判長法廷は判決を下したのである。 私は、この判決は、はしなくも日本人の・・・と一括りにしてはならないが、犯した過誤についての「想定外」という公的組織における常套的な弁解に透けて見える想定能力の欠如ないしシミュレーション能力の欠如そして公職従事者の無責任さと御都合主義を、暴露していると思う。 私はかねがね、このような想定能力およびシミュレーション能力のおそるべき欠如を、太平洋戦争時の日本軍部に思って来た。その能力欠如に加えて、庶民および自分以外の人間を虫けら同然に看做す頽廃的な心性と政治における棄民思想が、時流の中で合体してしまった、と。・・・どうして極限まで追いつめて想定する能力に、そんなにまで欠けるのだろう。それは、広い視野に欠けるからだ。見ている世界が、自他の関係も含めて、極めて自己中心的で且つ思考が幻想的だからだ。・・・これが、宇宙に人間を飛ばす事体ならば、あらゆるシチュエーションにおける極限状況を想定する能力に欠けるならば、何をか言わんや、目も当てられないだろう。 それはさておき、「想定外」という何か居直り強盗のような弁明は、日本社会を隈無く覆っている。自らの「無能」を恥ずかしげもなく表明しているのだとも気付かずに。 私は大阪地裁森森鍵一裁判長法廷の名判決を記憶しておこう。

ちょっと驚いた。ロックフェラーセンターのクリスマスツリーがたった一晩のうちに様変わりしてしまった。「エヴァーグリーン」から例年通りの極普通の電飾ツリーへ。 これは一体どうした事だろう。 私がそのメッセージ性に感心した、何の飾りも無い美しい「エヴァーグリーン」は、わずか1週間で、豪華なイルミネーションをまとっただけのつまらない巨大ツリーと化した。 市民たちは大喜びで写真撮影したりヴィデオカメラを操作している。私は「例年通りで良かったですね」と、ニューヨーク市民に挨拶するにやぶさかではないが、数百年間たもってきた生命を伐られ、その自然のままの美しい姿に、虚飾をまとわされた樅の木には「哀悼の意」を捧げつつ、私の気持は肩を竦めて足早に立去るばかりだ。 I was a little surprised. The Rockefeller Center Christ-mas tree has changed in just one night. From "Ever-green" to the usual illuminated tree. What happened to this? I was impressed with the message the beautiful un-adorned "Evergreen" , but it turned into a boring giant tree with gorgeous illuminations, in just one week. Citizens are happy taking pictures and operating video cameras. I don't hesitate to say "good to become as usual" to New Yorkers. However, I offered my condo-lence to the fir tree which has lived for hundreds of years with beautiful natural appearance, was cut down and dressed affectations. ロックフェラーセンターのクリスマスツリー
先日ニューヨークのメイシーズ百貨店のクリスマスシーズンのショーウィンドゥの飾り付けに込められたメッセージについて書いた。そのときはロックフェラーセンターの巨大ツリーは、運び込まれてはいたがすっぽりと覆い隠され建築現場さながらの足場に囲まれていた。私はその覆いの陰で例年のような華やかな電飾が準備されているのだろうと思った。 ところが数日後に覆いがはずされて、私は少し驚いた。電飾のみならず何の飾り付けもされていなかったからだ。「これはいったい、どういうことだろう。まさかこれから飾り付けをするのではないだろうに・・・」 しかし、やがて私は気付いた。ロックフェラーセンターのあののっぽビルが一面に青い色にライティングされ、時間とともに赤い色に変化した。そしてそれを背景に、何の飾りもない巨大ツリーが煌煌とした光のなかに鮮やかな緑色で浮かび上がったのだ。「エヴァー・グリーン（常緑樹）」の堂々とした美しい姿。背後の壁面の赤や青は合衆国国旗からの色。・・・ロックフェラーセンターのメッセージに私は感嘆した。 もちろん巨大な樅の木は、運び込まれたままではない。美しい樹形に整えられているのだ。覆いの陰で数日間行われていたのは、樹形を整える作業だったにちがいない。私は周辺環境を含めてこのクリスマスツリーのデザイナーにほとほと感心した。その発想のスマートさに。そして同時に、アメリカ合衆国が一人の男に因っていかに深く傷つけられているかを感じた。 The other day I wrote about the message behind the Christmas show window decoration at Macy's Depart-ment Store in New York. At tnat time, the huge tree at Rockefeller Center was carried in, but completely cov-ered and surrounded by scaffolding just like a con-struction site. I wondered if the gorgeous illuminations like of the past year were prepared behind the cover. However, the cover was removed a few days later, andI was a little surprised. Not only the illuminations but also no decorations were made. "What the hell is this? Ithink they will not be going to decorate it from now ..." However, I soon realized. That the high-raise buildingat Rockefeller Center was lit in blue all over and turnedred over time. And against that background, a huge tree without any decoration emerged in bright green in the glittering light. The majestic and beautiful appearance of "Evergreen". The red and blue on the back wall are the colors from the US flag. ... I was impressed by the massage from Rockefeller Center. Of course, the huge fir tree was not shape that had been brought in. It is arranged in a beautiful tree shape. What had been done for several days behind the cover must have been the work of shaping the tree. I was really impressed with the designer of this Christmas tree, includind the surrounding environment. To the smartness of the idea. 何でも可笑しくて笑ってしまう
今年も残り1ヶ月となっと。例年より早く過ぎたように感じるのはなぜだろう。やはり年齢のせいかもしれない。 しかし、私は良く仕事をした。COVID-19禍のため外出自粛をしたためでもあるが、閉じこもって作品制作に励んだ。むしろそれが長年変わらない普段の私の日常なのだが、それでも12月の冒頭のきょうも民生委員として午前中に5件の仕事をした。訪問は控えているものの、電話による安否確認やその他の調査であれ、相手に対する気づかいはまったく同じである。私は、自分で言うのは気が引けるが、剛胆な人間だ。故新甫八朗大人の私に対する評言を借りれば、「山田クンは度胸がいいねー」なのだ。それでも、相手に何事も起っていなければいいがと思いつつ電話するのは格別の気持なのである。しかしながら、負（マイナス）の方向にはたらく思考は、私にはまったくない。「脳天気」に、何でも可笑しくて笑ってしまうのだ。ハハハ、書きながら「バッカなことを！」と笑っている。 There is only one month left this year.
