次はお目当てのガチャポンが出てくるといいなぁ~(笑)Since we have been back, everything is pretty much done about moving from Kobe to Tsukuba. So I went to a shopping mall near my house. There, I have once again became a gachapon collector, which used to be my hobby since I was in college. Gachopon is ¥100~¥200 per try and it's alot of fun. I had collected many gachapon series. There are some gachapon in Korea, too but they weren't cute as the ones in Japan. So I didn't collect any in Korea. The first gachapon series that I started to collect since I had been back was a series of small cans by an illustrator, BonBoyage. The favorite one is that of the photo, above. It says," The kitten fell 3 times today. But he will someday realize this. It's more scary to learn to walk without falling, not falling itself. To forget the pain of falling." Inside the can is a kitten on his hands and it has a magnet on, so it sticks to the can. I put my gachopon collections on my desk or my bookshelves for fun and I sometimes change the series around depending on my mood.Since it's a gachapon, I sometimes get what I already have. So what do I do with them? I give them to my neighbors' children or children who visit us as a little presents. They love it,too! I hope I can get the gachapon that I'm wanting next!

We are ready for our big step forward for our new life in Japan. Our life will start in Tsukuba, where we have never lived before. With our confidence that we overcame our life living in Daegu, we would like to open all doors to our new life ahead.☆やっぱり別れはツライ☆今朝は朝6時起きでテグからソウルに向けて出発。 I got up at 6 and left for Seoul from Daegu. I rode on the train and the limousine bus to get to Incheon Airport. It took me 5 hours to get there! Since I had some time, I called my friends in both Daegu and Seoul to say my last thanks! and good-bye!. Then one of my Korean friends said to me, "To think that you're actually going back really hurts my feeling." When I heard this, I just burst in to tears and so did my friend. We both cried on the phone. I think everyone were looking at me strangely because I was half crying as I boarded on the plane. No matter how old you get, saying good-bye! is tough, but I felt no regret about living in Korea at the same time. On the other hand, I heard some good news. Since there is Aichi Expo starting from March, during this period, all Koreans can travel to Japan under 90 days without a visa. So one of my Korean friend in Daegu has already decided on visiting us at the end of March. We, too are thinking of visiting our friends in Daegu this summer as well. And another Korean friend from Daegu has already plans to visit us next December, too. It seems like our new home is already starting to turn into a guesthouse. But we are looking forward to everyone visiting us. Today I'm back at my home in Kobe. I will relax for few days to get my engines on, so that I can get ready to move to Tsukuba.

Last night, we were invited to a farewell party held by the members of Japanese-Korean get together of Daegu. When we look back, this get together started from a small reason. Every time we have a get together, we have a newcomer and we made new friends. At first,we knew nobody in Daegu. They were always there to help us in every means. We really thank everyone for thei kindness. And we also like to thank everyone for last night's party, too. It's been a while since we had alots of fun! We hope we can someday all get together and drink over a cup of Japanese sake and soju. We hope this day will really come! (Our Farewell Party in Daegu)(送別会幹事、いとさん提供の画像をそのままUP! We are moving back to Japan on tommorow's plane. Our life in Korea is over. We had our ups and downs but everything is our good memories now. After we settle down, we want to visit Daegu someday. I don't know when I will be able to renew our homepage next time, but it will be from Japan. I think I won't be able to renew our homepage until April, so until then it will be left alone. Please understand our circumstances.☆大邱での生活でお世話になったみなさんへ(もちろん、HPへ遊びに来てくれるみなさんも!)☆☆To all our friends(including all visitors to our homepage, too) who have supported us through our life in Daegu☆本当に短い間でしたが、色々と大変お世話になりました。 (笑)また、いつか、日本か韓国のどこか、又はネット社会の片隅でみなさんと再会できる日を楽しみにしています~☆It was a very short time but thankyou for everything!! Through our lives in Daegu, we learned alot from you, all. If it was not for living in Daegu, I would never had made our homepage in the first place. One of our Japanese married couple friends who live in Korea once said to us, "You both did well. You have experienced many things that other people are unable to do. Challenge is given to only those who can overcome it. You should both take that challenge and cooperate to overcome it.". At first, I was always thinking to myself, "Of all people why me?? Why should I have to go through such tough times especially right after our marriage??". But now a days, I can understand little by little the real meaning of what our friends wanted to say. We hope to live on together even if we fight sometimes, with our valuable experiences in Daegu. When you're visiting Japan, please contact us! You're welcome to our home anytime! We are looking forward to seeing you again someday, somewhere in either Japan or Korea or maybe somewhere in the cyberworld.

This song is the main theme song of NHK's morning continuing drama,"Wakaba". NHK is the only Japanese TV in Korea. Since "Wakaba"'s story takes place in my hometown, Kobe and among many very concious minded NHK TV programs, it was one of the few fun program to watch. And soon, it was my daily routine to watch "Wakaba" and I soon memorized the words to this theme song by heart. Although our life in Korea was short, we had many ups and downs. I think this song is probably the most memorable song to remember our life in Korea. When I want to remember Korea, I'm sure I'll start singing this song for sure!

My wish came half true when we are moving to Tsukuba. The wish was to have a pet. To tell you the truth, I wanted a dog. But since we are not allowed to keep a dog in our new home and as long as it doesn't cry, we decided to bring Conan, my pet rabbit(3years old) who lives with my family in Kobe to live with us. I had taken care of him since the day he came until I moved to Korea. He knows me alot and he is basically a very smart rabbit. According to my sister's recent story of Conan, he is on a rabbit reed when he takes a walk in our yard. You let him go and after he is bored of the walk, he goes back to the cage by himself. Wow! Good going!,Conan. I know he's very smart because about a year and half ago, he ran away from home but came back by himself the next day. It really surprised us all, because we thought we would never see him again. The problem is Tennessee! I'm a bit worried that Tennessee will miss Conan alot since they were good buddies. But If Conan comes to live with us, he will be a healer of our home. I'm looking forward to living with Conan soon!tenne妹くんが珍しく国際電話をかけてきました。 数年後の出世払いがとても楽しみ!(爆)It's unsual but my sister called me today. I realized that today was the day of the result to see if she was admitted to her first choice of graduate school's doctoral course. "Hey! Guess what! I got in!" "Hey! Congradulations! Good luck! and study hard for the next 3 years!" I actually talked like a big sister today! It was hiroro, who said to my sister,"If you're unsure of working for something you're not interested in, then it's better off to continue your studies now.(He meant now as before turning 30 and also to keep her resume clean)" He gave her this advice when she was really thinking things over. Maybe he said this out of his experience, too. This advice made my sister's decision to continue her studies. And it made us cooperate mentally but not financially concerning my sister's problem and to ask our parents for their cooperation, too. It's always good to hear a good news such as passing a test. But today's news sounded even better and we're both glad that she was admitted. We can't wait until she starts making alots of money in the futures ahead!tenne妹くんへなにはともあれ、お疲れ様でした。 To my sister,The stressful days are over! Congradulations! For the next 3 years that you'll live in Japan, I hope you will see many good and bad parts of Japan. And I hope you learn alot from your experiences, too. We can't wait until you make alots of money and treat us well!!We're counting on it! Ha!ha!We'll try to make the best of our new life in Tsukuba, too. So, let us all make the best of our lives!

Recently, we have disputes over our future life alot. But yesterday, the fight went to it's peak and we ended up facing 2 ways. The reason why these fights occur are simple. hiroro doesn't think like a married man with a family. He still acts single and he doesn't have a financial power to fully support the family. I tell him to change his conciousness and act like a married man and I've been telling him for almost an year. Unless he changes, we won't be able to make a decent future plans, yet a baby of our own.But he just doesn't get it! What more can I do?? Lastly, he said something that he shouldn't of said. Because it made me cry(By the way,I hardly cry) he realized that it was something he shouldn't have said and kept on apolizing. But apolizing just won't do! It just hurts alot. There are 3 choices to our final decision; try and continue on together, live separately for a while or get a divorce. We're moving back to Japan next week. We are facing a headaching crisis now and it hurts alot. Does all married couples go through this kind of crisis before they find their style of a married couple?? All I can say now is being married is tough.

一言英語で「I hope he is better soon!」 「I hope you will recover soon, too!」 明日から大変だぁ~(涙)hiroro was sick from 2nights ago and he took a day off to work yesterday to stay in bed. Since he had a high fever, headache and a stomachache, we went to the medical clinic on KNU campus, the first thing yeasterday morning. We got medicines from the clinic and he went back to bed all afternoon. While he was sleeping, I was surrounded by boxes for us to move soon. Early evening came and I made him some porridge to eat for dinner. I woke him up to make him eat but his fever rose up again. He was not able to eat the porridge at all. I thought to myself,"This isn't good! He can't be hospitalized now.". So I quickly looked up some hospital in Daegu that is able to be communicated in English. I decided to take him to one. Although I had a doubt about being able to communicate in English at the hospital, I made hiroro change into his clothes, caught a taxi and went to Kyungpook National University Medical Center in downtown Daegu and the closest to our dormitory. It took us some time to actually find where the emergency medical center was since the hospital was too big and all the signs were written in Korean, not English. after running around the hospital for about 15 minutes, I was lucky to find the entrance to the emergency medical center. Once I got there, I talked to the receptionist who couldn't understand English at all. Because it was right after the Korean New Year's holidays, there were many many people at the emergency medical center. Then using my natural insticts, I caught one of the emergency medical center nurse and explained our situations in English. although she couldn't understand English, she introduced us to English speaking Korean doctor. He was able to see hiroro. hiroro was diagnosed as "Stomachache from too much stomache acids". Few days of starvation and taking prescribed medications should make him feel alot better, the doctor said. But I was glad that it was nothing much more serious. I was really scared. It's always me who gets sick and not hiroro. It's his first time that he has gotten sick this bad. When hiroro was lying on a portable bed waiting for the doctor to come, I was standing besides him. Then a man lying on the portable bed next to him spoke to me in a broken English. Maybe I looked very scared, and he said to me in English,"I hope he is better soon!" They were very warm words. So I said to the man, "I hope you will recover soon, too!" Then he smiled back at me. It's a momentarily encounter but I think these encounters are precious, too. I can't let hiroro work too hard until he fully recovers. Oh oh... I must do everything about moving by myself. I'll be very busy from tommorow!

(涙)Because I have been really busy, I forgot all about Valentine's Day! It's my second Valentine's day with hiroro. Last Valentine's day, hiroro took me back to his hometown to introduce me to his family to ask for our marriage approval. And it's been a year, already!? Wow! Time flies by really fast! And now I'm standing next to him as his wife! But hiroro has been sick with fever from last night. And he is taking a day off from work because he still has a fever today. He's too sick to eat Valentine's chocolates, so that's what he will get first thing he's better. Today is a sad Valentine, looking after a very sick husband.HPへ遊びに来てくれるみなさんへハッピー☆バレンタイン!! だから、「Happy Valentine's Day!! Because I was extremely busy, I forgot what day of the week today was. So I looked at the calender and realized that it's Korean New Year holidays. No wonder KNU campus was so quiet! Since there's nothing I can do about moving because of the holidays, I can relax and turn myself off until Monday. From tommorow, I'll start turning myself ON!

My favorite thing in Korea is something strange. Can you guess?? My favorite thing is Korean banana juice that is sold in convinience stores, supermarkets and on the train's food wagon services. When I first saw it, everyone from children to elders, both men and women were drinking it. So I thought to myself, "It's probably everyone's favorite yogurt drink." without not knowing what it was. And then one day, I had a chance to ask about this from a Korean friend. I asked her, "What's that everyone is drinking?" She replied, " It's Korean banana juice. It's really good! Try it!". Because I'm always full of curiosity, I did try it and I loved it! It tasted like an old fashioned banana juice that I used to drink when I was a little girl. Because I'm originally from Kansai area, I grew up drinking mixed fruits juice. It tasted just like mixed fruits juice(banana milk) without tangerines and apples. This quickly became one of my favorite drinks in Korea next to Citroen Tea. I drink this juice almost everyday. The other day, I found melon flavored and strawberry flavored packages as well. If you ever come to visit Korea, I suggest you give it a try to this old fashioned Korean banana juice!

During my trip back to Japan, I was on a ON mode. But I'm worn out and very tired both physically and mentally. As a little girl, I had ON/OFF personality. When I was ON, I can get anything done and when was OFF, I do nothing. So my parents would often say to me, " We know that you can do it, only if you turn yourself ON." This trip back to Japan, I was totally ON and got more than what I had expected to be done. But I'm tired! So I'll take about 2days OFF and recover myself both physically and mentally. To start this OFF mode, I will just sleep and sleep because I feel like Ihaven't slept in ages and I despreately need sleep! So now I'm off to bed! Good night!

Hello! Everyone! How have you been?? I am at Narita Airport right now. I`m waiting for my plane to leave for Korea. It has been a while since I renew our homepage. I had been extremely busy during my trip back to Japan. I had been at the hospital most of the time to take care of my father-in-law. My father-i-law will start our last hope of new medical treatment. We are glad that he was able to start this while I was there. Ofcourse we found ourselves a place to live in Tsukuba and we made all the neccesary procedures that we must take care of concerning the moving. And I also went out for a job interview, too and got myself a job! We were eating lunch between going to the realtors and I was reading a free town paper. On it, I saw a job ad from a recruiting staff office. I called them about the job and they told me to come and register, so I did the next day. Since it`s spring there are many job offers. I was very lucky and I will be able to work for a for an American company using my English skills. We are both satisfied that we were able to do so much in so little time! This trip was busy but worth what it took! I will be getting home very late tonight so tommorrow I will have a day off!

Ever since we came back to Korea,we have been busy preparing to move to Tsukuba. Then we received an international phonecall from my mother-in-law telling us, my father-in-law's doctor told her that he is getting worse day by day and that we must be ready for the moment. We talked things over and came up with this decision. As soon as I finish making arrangements with the movers in Korea, I will go home alone to Fukushima, hiroro's hometown. I will support my mother-in-law who is taking care of my father-in-law who is very ill. I'm going back to Japan this afternoon for a while.hiroro can't come home until Korean New Year's holidays. We will both come back after Korean New Year's holidays are over. By then we will decide our new home in Tsukuba and we'll come back to Korea to finish the moving, itself. I'm sorry but I won't be able to renew our homepage and respond to all comments as often as I did, because I'll be very busy from taking care of my father-in-law and preparing to move from Daegu to Tsukuba. I will be going back and forth Korea and Japan for a while, too. I will renew our homepage and respond to all comments when I'm settled down. Until then, please be patient! Thankyou for your understandings! Well, I'm off for now!
