しかし、もう当分事故はコリゴリだぁ~It was a ver chaotic morning, today. When I got up, I saw a e-mail in my mobile. It was from my Rakuten friend, O.He wrote that he will meet us at Tsukuba Center at 10AM.What? What??I saw this e-mail, a little before 9 AM.We quickly got ready to go out and was able to meet O.Then we went to a car factory owned by my co-worker, to get our car fixed because we were bumped in to a car behind us,about a week ago. It takes about a week to 10 days to repair our car, so we rented a car from the car factory.Since there's not much to see in Tsukuba, we went for a driveto Tsukuba mountain. We thought it might be a bit of a souvenir storyof Tsukuba for O to tell to his friends. Then we came down and ate lunch and talked and talked.Since O is from Kansai area, we spoke in 100% Kansai dialect. It was really fun speaking in Kansai dialect.Since he has to travel on up North today, we drove him to Tsuchiuraand promised to see each other again someday, as we said our good-byes.Then we finished all our business concerning our car accident and now, we are a bit relieved. We went to the hospital and took our X-rays. According to the doctor, there shouldn't be any physical problems afterwards, too. So we asked the young man to pay for our car repair fee and our medical fee and reported to the police as our accident as "car damage". And this problem is all solved! But we had enough car accident for a while!

(苦笑)When I look at hiroro's face the other day, it seemed like his facelooked a bit round. When I looked at him, it was in the morning so I thought his face seemed a bit round because of swelling. But when I looked at his face again last night, it was a bit round. So we weighed him.And he gained 3kg! No wonder his face looked a bit round!hiroro doesn't take things seriously and doesn't continue on, if it's priority is low on his list. So I'm always telling him to tryharder and kick his butt. But if he gains more weight, than it will definitely do him harm physically. He has a extremely bad waist pain since his late 20's. He is told by a doctor that he will have it for the rest of his life. Now I'm afraid that he will have his waist pain again because of his weight. If I leave this problem alone, then I'm sure his weight willbe in the 80kg's in no time.So I decided that he must go on a diet, no matter what!If there's any good diet, please tell us!By the way, I'm lucky to be able to keep my weight and have a good excercise everyday because I ride my bike to work everyday. We are really 凸凹 married couple in many ways!

I see many highschool students in their uniforms, walking around in our campus since day before yesterday. I wondered why until I heard that there was a confrence for highschool senior students who want to enter our university. To see them walk around in this hot weather trying to research all they can with their hopes to be a university student is very heart warming. But there is one little trouble. The trouble is that they take over the school cafeteria. Our lunch time and their lunch time is at the same hour. This makes the cafeteria very crowded and makes us go out to lunch outside the campus. It's hard to go out for lunch within an hour. But my co-workers and I decide where to go out for lunch beforehand and rush through our lunch time.

来年も夫婦共働き生活を続けながら、家庭の経済的基盤固めを頑張るぞ~!Yesterday I finished my hearing at my office without any problems. It seems like my office will hire me next year, too. And I'm glad about it. It's not easy finding a part-time office jobs with an average environment when you're over 30. Many places cut me off because of my age nowadays. There is no worry that we'll be starving next year. We are both very glad that I'll be able to work next year, too. We'll continue on with our working married couple's life next year, too. And we hope to build a financial base for our family life.

どうなる、私達の今年の夏休み?!At the end of last week, everyone in my department started to really talk about when one was getting off for summer vacation. My boss and my chief both says that we'll be working like horses when the new semester starts in September. By the way, this story is told by them almost everyday. Anyways, they suggested me to take my days off now when it's not busy. I was planning to take my days off from work in September, because hiroro will be busy with his work in August. hiroro was thinking about taking his days off in September, too. But since I won't be able to take my days off from work in September, now we are talking about when we should get our days off together. When both are working, it's sometimes difficult to take a long vacation together. If we can't have summer holidays together, we'll get our holidays separately and I'll maybe go back to Kobe alone, next month. What will happen to our summer holidays this year?!

我が家の一番のホープは2Docs(博士であるhiroro&博士を目指す妹)ではなく、テネシーかもしれませんね?!(笑)Just about an hour ago, my mom called me.She seemed very happy, so I asked her what was going on.My mom and my sister had secretly sent a photo of our family dog, Tennessee to a pet modeling agency in Osaka. And the result came today. The result was he was registered as apet model. They will go get the registration certificate at the office at the end of next months. As my mom told me the details, she told me that Tennessee will register as a pet model with the same office's Osaka branch, that Qoo the Chiwawa(famous dog model in TV CMs)is now working with. This is the photo that they had sent secretly. The judge gave him a comment as follows," Tennessee, you have a nice smile. And your fur is taken care of well, too."It's true that Tennessee is always smiling. His biggest weapon is his doggy smile and his friendliness. My mom is ready to be a stage mom any day now.I guess the biggest hope of our family is not the 2 docs(hiroro & my sister), but Tennessee!

まったくやる気なし~Yesterday was really a long bad day. When I got to work yesterday morning, my chief asked me, if I knew anything about our boss taking a whole week off. So I said no. Then she told me that, she too, didn't know. There are only 3 of us in our section. And we didn't know that our boss was taking his days off for a whole week. This made us feel bad. Then a job that only our boss knew came around and the two of us left went into a bit of a panic. And I was going to take a day off on Friday, too. Because hiroro went to a confrence on a national holiday, his office told him to take a day off in July. So we had a plan to take a day off together. But there are only 3 of us in our section and if I take a day off, there will be only one of us left. I know it's not a busy time of a year, but it's hard to get around by only one. So although I wanted to have a day off, I couln't ask for one and had to change my plan. I explained my situation and he understood me well. Yesterday hiroro drove me to work because we heard that it'll rain in the afternoon. On our way home, we were stopping at a red light. Then a car driven by a young man bumped into our car. Our car is Pajero Mini and the spare tire case in the rear broke. We talked to the insurance man and policeman and they both told us that it's 100% the young man 's fault. So we have nothing to worry about. Afterwards, we went to the hospital. We were told by the doctor that we both have neck sprain which will take about a week to heal. But within the next 3 days, we have to go back to the hospital for X-rays. II now have bad knee, bad arm and bad neck! This is really painful!! Although this accident was not our fault, an accident is an accident! It made us very upset. The start of this week is really bad, so I have no energy to keep going this week at all!

On Saturday morning, I went to a nearby hospital since my left arm and left knee hurted badly. My left arm hurts because I was injured in an car accident before. My left knee hurts since I had a high fever last summer and the reason is unknown yet.I explained this to the doctor.Without even looking at my arm or my knee, he said that I neededto take a blood test. So I did.As you all know, my blood vessel is very thin and it's very hard to find. It took 2 nurses to take 3 test tubes of my blood samples.I waited for my blood test result, and I aws called. All the doctor told me was that my white blood cells are below average, so I must be careful. And he also told me the reason of thepain was unknown but a cold pack on the pain should just do.I wasn't too happy with this doctor and I told hiroro about it when I got home.He said to me, "I'll take you to the university hospital."But I told him, "They took 3 test tubes of my blood samples today. So that's enough for a day."Next weekend, I'm going to the university hospital.I was pretty upset by the way the hospital treated me since it was a pretty big hospital.

Before we left for Korea, we changed our Vodafone mobile to AU mobile, because we can use it in Korea, too. But we found out that it's cheaper to use AU WIN mobile than AU CDMAone mobile. So we exchanged the mobile from CDMAone to WIN with the same mobile number that we are currently using. Because we aren't use to using the new mobile, it's inconvinient. I guess it'll take a while for us to get use to our new mobile.Ah-, at this time last year, we were too busy getting ready to departfor Korea, because it was less than a month since our departure. It's already a year from then! 怖かった~(涙)Yesterday afternoon, we went to see the "Standing Buddha in Ushiku".This was a place where all our local friends were telling us to visit from before. It was only 30 minutes drive from home.It was huge! We have seen it from the distance, when we get onthe highway to head for Iwaki. But it was really huge! This buddha is the world's tallest standing buddha in the worldand is registered to the Guiness World book of Record for its height. You can go up to the chest of the buddha by elevator, too.Since yesterday was nice and sunny, we were able to see theviews in the distance. In the back of the standing buddha, there was a "Little Zoo of Squirrels and Rabbits", that small children would really enjoy. To see this buddha, you usually have to pay admission fee to get in,but our local friends told us last night that, admission fee is free during the New Year's.It was a nearby sightseeing spot that's worthwhile going to see.By the way, there was an earthquake yesterday. We were just about to get out of the parking lot, when it hit usin our car.We were surprised that even moving cars shake sideways at magnitude 4 earthquake. It shook for a quite a long time and we both froze. It was a scary experince.

During the summer of my freshman year in college, I was in a car accident. My friend, who just got his driver's licence was the driver. The cause of the accident was speeding and couldn't turn right at the curve. The car went on sidewalk and since it was a small and light car, it turned itself up side down and slid itself across the other side of the road, hit the guard rail and dropped itself to a farmland. Luckily, the dump truck coming its way on the other side of the road noticed our accident and made a stop. So we were lucky not to die. Since I had no seat belt on, I hit my head real hard and I was unconcious on the hospital bed for few days. Am I a lucky person?! I was surprised to find out that no bones were broken. But I had a crack a small crack in my left arm. I didn't get a surgery because the doctors told me the crack was too close to the nerves and they were afraid to cut the nerves during the surgery. And if the nerves are cut, then I may not be able to use my left arm like I used to. Luckily it was my left arm, not my right which is thewriting arm.But every now and then, especially during the cold seasons, my left arm hurts alot. But few days ago, it started hurting again. It's unusual to hurt during the hot season. I wonder if I should go see a doctor.By the way, driver of my accident was unhurt.I realized and understood the danger of sitting next to the driverthat summer. And ever since then, I try not to ride in small and light compact cars. The summer holidays has started. It's time when there are many accidents. Please be careful not to get into any car accidents, everyone!

After I sent him off, I went back to sleep. After I got up, I took Conan to the petshopto have his nails cut. After Conan came home, I played with Conan and Tennessee. The fun time passes by very quickly. And I realized it was a little before 2 PM. Since it takes 6 hours to come back and I have work the next day, I left home a little past 2 PM. The second day of the holidays, we overslept again. Then we went out with our friends for lunch and dinner in Osaka. On our way to Osaka, we met my childhood friend on the train. We were happy to see eachother and talked about what's happening recently. We promised to see each other next time I'm back. It's nice to see an old friend even if it's a coincidence. It was great to be in Osaka because it has been quite a while since we walked around our favorite city. We also rode JR to Osaka because that's the only transportation from my hometown. On our way, we passed the accident site of JR Amagasaki railroad accident. It was really heart breaking to see the accident site from the train window when it passes by with a slow speed. Anyways, we had alots of fun with friends.

First day of the holidays, we overslept because we came home after midnight, the night before. After we got up, we went to a place that we alwyas go to when we come home. We always go to a juice bar at a nearby shopping center. We always drink mixed fruit juice when we come back. Fruit mixed juice is a regular menu in Kansai area but it isn't in Kanto area. We miss this juice very much. After our juice, we went to a Okonomiyaki restaurant that we always go to. After eating Okonomiyaki, we feel we came back to Kansai. After that we went to buy my dad's birthday cake and hiroro's clothes. we buy our clothes in Kansai. Why? Because I know salesperson well and they give me a good discount. That's why I buy our clothes in Kansai. After shopping we played alot with Tennessee and Conan. we were very satisfied. My dad's real birthday was on the 18th but we knew he would be working that day. So we had a family birthday dinner that night. Since all the drinkers got together, our dinner went on until very late at night, that night.

(涙)I'm feeling a bit down because I'm aging so fast lately.Just a little while ago, everyone used to think I look youngerthan my real age because I have a childish face. But recently, I look like my age.The other day, when we were at home doing nothing, all of the sudden, hiroro said to me "You have white hair!"I said, "You must be kidding! I'm not that old! It must be because ofthe light, right?!"But he insisted that it was "white hair".Although it hurts to pull my hair, I made hiroro pull out mywhite hair.As a result, he was right! It was white hair. After this incident, there were more white hair found in my hair. Now everytime a white hair is found, I make hiroro pull it out.I guess there are some invisible stresses everywhere and it'smaking my hair white! This is bit sad because I'm still young, you know!

When we got married, we made a rule, "Not to bring work home". But since his work is extremely busy nowadays, he works at home whenever he has some time. As he says it, he got arthritis from using too much PC mouse and typing the keyboard. From yesterday, he has a cold pack on his wrist to ease the pain and wrist supporter on. But I wonder if it'll make his wrist better?? I'm a bit worried.

This afternoon, we went shopping to a nearby shopping center whichalso has a department store in it.We had 2 things to do there. One was to buy and send summer greetings gifts to hiroro's boss and hisprofessors.Second, we had to buy a birthday present for my dad, whose birthday is coming up on next Monday. This year's dad's birthday present is a ticket for an order made shirtand the shirt's fabric. We decided that this would be a good present, because it can be made at the same department store's Kansai branch and shirt is something he wears everyday to work, so we thought he would be happy. After we finished our shopping, since there were summer sales everywhere,we walked around and enjoyed window shoppings. We had a nice cup of tea and we came home.Yesterday hiroro was really upset. But today, his smile is back and seems calm as usual, so I'm bit glad about it.It doesn't matter if we have nothing. I think sharing a calm and peaceful time together is the best!

When I'm feeling mentally upset, I always see a same dream. It's a dream of my grandpa on my mom's side and of my first family dog,Rex.I don't know why, but they always appear to me together.Grandpa is always taking Rex for a walk when they appear to me.When I call them and give them a big hug, they quietly dissappearwithout any noises. When I wake up the next morning, I feel that I can put away the problemthat is making me mentally upset and carry on with a gentle heart.I do have a bit of six sense, but I don't believe in ghosts at all.But I do believe a bit, that they are my guardian angels.

So we must vist her today. But we are feeling a bit low and blue. To tell the truth, my mother-in-law has been asking us to forfeit hiroro's inheritance from his father since the calendar turned to July.It was just about a week ago, that we ever talked about the inheritence. We had no interest in inheriting what was left of my father-in-law at all, and we were thinking of forfeiting it anyways. But what made us upset was my mother-in-law's attitude. We found out that my mother-in-law is in such a rush because she must submit our documents of forfeit by the end of this month, because there is a law that states one must submit the documents of forfeit within the 3 month of one's death. By the way,we still don't know what is left. But my mother-in-law kept telling us to forfeit it so many times, that we were annoyed. So we are going to sign our documents to forfeit hiroro's inheritance. We don't understand why we must go through these things and we are very upset. Today it's us VS my mother-in-law! 相手にもやさしい笑顔を求めるんだから、私も負けないようにやさしい笑顔にならなくちゃね!?(笑)I'm sure one has many concerns about their steady partners. My one of my biggest concern with my steady partner is ..."a gentle smile". I become very weak when it comes to a gentle smile. I get weak over a gentle smile by a very quite or a very cool looking guys. When I was a teenager, looks was everything that came first. In my early 20's, I realized that "a gentle smile" was important to me. I think smiles represent that person's inner characters. Don't you think?? I think so. I look for a gentle smile in my steady partner, so I, too must try to have a gentle smile, too.

「Complete Works of William Shakespere」by William Shakespere 「The Lion and the Witch and the Wardrobe」by C.S. The other day, my Rakuten friend, happymintiawho resides in Canada, had asked me to try out a book baton. So at her request, I would like to try to answer them.1. Number of BooksOne of my parents values of life was " Books are properties". So I was surrounded by books since I could remember as a little girl. At my family home, there is a room which is made into a library for our family. There are both English and Japanese books at our library. I think we have maybe more than 100 books. Ofcourse these booksare of the 4 of us in the family. But now that I'm a moving housewife, I don't bring too many books along with me. It's heavy and expensive to move along, you know! I usually rent books out from a library in our city. So right now, I think I have maybe less than 10 books.2.What books are you reading now?「Intellectual Property Law」by Yoshiyuki TamuraMy friend who is studying for lawyer's exam had recommended this book, saying it's a good knowledge to know and understand. But it's too hard for me to understand, so I'm reading it over and over, little by little. When I want a nice sleep, I start reading it.「Laundry」by Junichi MoriI've seen the movie before and it was pretty good. So I wanted to read the book, too.「Kaze Hikaru」by Taeko WatanabeIt's a comic about Shinsen-Gumi.3.What was the last book I bought?I bought a travel magagine introducing Izu and Hakone. We were away in Izu few weeks ago.4.What is your special book?「Tuesdays with Morrie」 by Mitch Albom I bought it at Kinokuniya Bookstore. It was introduced as a book that you can cry from. And I did cry. It was a true story and very touching. It taught me invisible but important values of life.「Complete Works of William Shakespere」by William ShakespereI always loved William Shakespere's works since I was a child. It's read so many times that it's a bit tatty.「Illiad」by HomerWhen I was in 5th grade, my teacher read it to us for our morning 10 minutes reading.I still remember how exciting that 10 minutes was.「The Lion and the Witch and the Wardrobe」 by C.S. LewisI read it when I was a child. Is it just me? , who thinks it's more exciting to read than Harry Potter?!「Little House on the Prairie」by Laura Ingalls WilderWhen I was a little girl, I watched the TV series and read the book.I loved it so much that we visited Walnut Grove, one summer. There was nothing there!「Guess how much I like you?」by author unknown (It's at my family home) It was a children's book given to me from a guy who I had been friend for many years on White Day. It was a first book given to me as a present and it was a surprise.Next 5 people to give this Book Baton toI won't say who will be next. It's up to you. If you want to try, go ahead! But as you can see from the taste of books I 've benn reading, I like literature alot. If you have any books you recommend, feel free to tell me!

We just heard about the tero attacks in London on the news.We are very shocked to hear this news.London is a memorable place for us because it was where we wedded and wentfor our honeymoon, just last spring. For our wedding, my sister's graduate school friends came, too. My sister was studying her masters degree at graduate school of Universityof London, last year.I was so worriec that I called my sister, who is living at home now.I asked her about her graduate school friends. She said that she got in touch with them all and that they were all safeand unhurt. But one of them, just exchanged a subway to another, when it blew up 9 minutes later. The bus that blew up, it blew up in front of graduate school of UCL.If this happend last year, my sister and her friends might of been hurt. That is really chilling and scary!!But who?? And why??Who knows?! Tokyo might be their next target, too. London's transportation system is very similar to Tokyo. We pray to those who lost their innocent lives and for those who were hurt in this attack. We would also pray that this kind of terrorist attack will never occuragain!

When I make documents at work, I look at the quick year list to check the western year to the Japanese year. For example, 2005 is year 17 in Heisei era. One day, when I was working, I realized that next new students coming into university were born in first year of Heisei era. It was a bit shocking for me, who was born in the Showa era. It makes me feel like I 've aged so fast. When I was a teenager, 30 something was very okd. But when I'm over 30, I don't feel too old. I already feel bad, but I'm also shocked to find outthat I got all the bad DNAs of my mom's physical conditions.I already feel down mentally today. So being let down physically, too is really hard on me now.

Recently, there are people who visit us and leave very unpleasant messages and trackbacks. So we decided to restrict our BBS and trackbacks to Rakuten/Infoseek usersonly. hiroroがカメが大好きになった理由。 (笑)The reason why hiroro loves turtles and tortoises. It was when we went to a summer festival in my hometown 2summers ago. We tried for turtle catching game, instead of goldfish catching game. It's a bit hard to imagine from his looks, he is very good with his hands. He can repair our home electronical appliances and he can do alots of DIY. This is very helpful at home and I'm thankful for his talent. Anyways, he caught 2 turtles that night and brought it home. But it was turtles from the catching game, it was already physically weak. So they both died about a week later. hiroro was very sad. My mom saw how sad he was and she bought back a green turtle from a petshop and gave it to him as a present. That's present day, "Tamezo" (He was given away to my neighbor's kids when we moved to Korea). And ever since then, hiroro is in love with the turtles and tortoises.

I'm an animal lover since I was a little girl. When I was a little girl, I used to carry animal encyclopedia everywhere. My first pet was a pet rabbit at age 6. I got this panda bunny for my 6th birthday from my parents. I promised my parents I would take good care of it. I did take good care of it and she became a very friendly rabbit. But she was given a way to a friend, when my dad was transferred to the US and we all had to move. But since then, my sister and I made promise to my parents to take good care of our pest and had many pets, such as rabbit and long-haired hamsters. What really was most touching was when my long-haired hamster, Sam gave birth twice and she raised them all. And after these experiences, we won my parents trust of "being able to take care of our pets and know the importance of a small life." We were able to have our first family dog when I was in 7th grade. But there was another promise. It was to pay one third of the dog, itself. To us at that time was a bit hard on us. That was our first dog, "Rex". He,too was a Sheltie. To me, Rex was like a big brother. He passed away at the age 15. After his death, we all became pet loss. And after that Conan and Tennesse became a part of the family, as you all know it. I think having a pet at home, no matter if it's big or small, teaches us many things. And by all means, pets cures us all!

When we were living in Korea, he was speaking English at his laboratory. After our return to Japan, hiroro lost his chance to speak his English, so he says that his English level at both hearing and speaking has gone down. He does take an English lessons, too. But he says it's not enough. So I thought about how to solve this problem. To solve this problem, I decided to speak English at home. I had only spoken English at home with my sister and only at a necessary situations. Why? Because being able to speak English in Japan brings many prejudices such as a snobby impressions or being too Americanized and etc. I know that not all people feel this way, but I had too many bad experiences concerning this matter, so I tend to hide this ability naturally especially when I'm living in Japan. But hiroro needs to level up his English because it's necessary for his job. So we have started to speak in both Japanese and English at home, starting this weekend. The basic rule is hiroro must speak in English, when I speak in English. I usually ask hiroro, "How do you say ○○ in English?" from our conversations. If he makes a mistake, I ask him "How do you say that in Japanese?" instead. From repeating this routine everyday in our daily life, I hope that he will gain many vocabularies and regain his hearing as well. After he gains some vocabularies, we'll do easy discussions in English. The topic can be anything he wants. I don't want him to lose interest in English. Instead, I want him to find interest in speaking English from a small reason. I know what it's like to not use the language one had gained and have it level down rapidly from my past experiences. As a result, I don't know how much help it would be for hiroro. But I hope I can be some help to him.
