The MLB Power Rankings are back after a wild holiday weekend across the bigs. With the New York Yankees continuing their slide and the San Diego Padres falling below .500, there's plenty to discuss. But the MLB All-Star Game rosters have been announced, and every team has a snub they think should have made it.
Who from your team should be on their way to Philadelphia this month?
#1: Los Angeles Dodgers (-)
Kiyoshi Mio-Imagn Images
The Los Angeles Dodgers took two of three from the Athletics and three of four from the Padres, moving to 59-32 on the season. They now have a gargantuan 14-game lead in the NL West with the best record in baseball. Yoshinobu Yamamoto was fantastic on Saturday, throwing seven shutout innings with 10 strikeouts against San Diego . The World Series MVP has been left behind in the NL Cy Young race, but he is an All-Star. Tanner Scott is not, however, despite a bounce-back season with a 2.02 ERA and 12 saves this season. The Dodgers host the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks this week.

#2: Milwaukee Brewers (+1)
Jacob Misiorowski is an All-Star once again after starting the Mid-Summer Classic in his first season. He wobbled against the Cincinnati Reds this week, but Milwaukee still won that series and followed that up by taking two from the D-Backs. But Jackson Chourio is not headed to Philadelphia, and he has an argument to be there. With 35 RBI and an .885 OPS, he should have put enough on tape to overcome his low games played. But 54 games were not enough for the voters. The Brewers have a five-game series against the St Louis Cardinals before finishing the first half against the Pittsburgh Pirates .
#3: Atlanta Braves (-1)
The Atlanta Braves split two games with the Cardinals and have taken two so far from the Mets . They finish that four-game set with the Amazins on Monday. The Braves have five players going to the All-Star game, but they still have a snub. Michael Harris II is having an incredible bounce-back season, with a 130 OPS+ and great centerfield defense. Andy Pages and Pete Crow-Armstrong make it hard in center, but Harris deserved a spot on this roster. The Braves visit the Pirates and Cardinals after finishing the Mets series.
#4: Tampa Bay Rays (-)
The Tampa Bay Rays have the best record in the American League at 52-35 despite dropping two games to the Houston Astros . Before that, it was a nine-game winning streak for Tampa. Junior Caminero has 11 homers in his last 11 games and has earned an All-Star bid because of it. Yandy Diaz is headed as well, but Nick Martinez is not. In his first year with Tampa, Martinez has done more than enough to earn an All-Star bid. Tampa starts a massive four-game set against the Yankees before hosting the Seattle Mariners .
#5: Philadelphia Phillies (-)
The Phillies are hosting the All-Star Game, with Kyle Schwarber , Brandon Marsh , Bryce Harper, and Cristopher Sanchez on the roster . That group helped the Phils split four games with the Pirates and take two of three so far from the Kansas City Royals . Zach Wheeler should be joining that group at the All-Star Game, as his 13 starts have been among the best in the National League. But an early-season injury and Sanchez's brilliance have turned the attention away from Wheeler. The Phillies finish the Royals series before visiting the Reds and the Detroit Tigers .
#6: Chicago Cubs (+2)
David Banks-Imagn Images
The Chicago Cubs were flying high again, sweeping the Padres to start the week. They did falter over the weekend, dropping two to the Cardinals. Pete Crow-Armstrong is their only All-Star participant , and only Seiya Suzuki could be considered a snub. The 31-year-old has a .795 OPS and 42 RBI, which is a strong season. The National League is strong in the outfield, so Suzuki was pushed out. The Cubs visit the Baltimore Orioles and the Reds before the break.
#7: New York Yankees (-1)
The Yankees have lost nine of their last ten games, falling four games behind the Rays in the AL East. They were swept by the Tigers and lost a set to the Minnesota Twins , spinning this season out of control. Ben Rice , Cam Schlittler , Cody Bellinger , and Aaron Judge are New York's All-Star representatives. David Bednar should absolutely be in the bullpen , as he is putting together a sensational season. The Yankees need to snap out of their skid against the Rays and the Washington Nationals .
#8: San Diego Padres (-1)
The Padres had a disastrous week, getting swept by the Cubs and dropping three out of four to the Dodgers. But Sunday's win snapped an eight-game losing streak, which could have San Diego moving in the right direction. Mason Miller is their only All-Star , which is a fair outcome. Set up man, Jason Adam , has the best argument of the players left behind, as the offense has been dreadful so far this year. The Padres host the Diamondbacks and the Blue Jays before the break.
#9: Chicago White Sox (+1)
The Chicago White Sox have peeked into the top 10 of the MLB Power Rankings after splitting four games with the Cleveland Guardians . Before that, they took two of three from the Orioles, moving to five games over .500. Miguel Vargas is their only All-Star representative, which does not properly represent their season. Munetaka Murakami's injury did not help him, but Colson Montgomery and Davis Martin should be on the short list of replacements for the AL. The White Sox host the Red Sox and the Athletics this week.
#10: Cleveland Guardians (-1)
Ken Blaze-Imagn Images
The Guardians dropped two of three to the Rangers and split four with the White Sox, falling one game behind Chicago in the AL Central. Travis Bazzana, Cade Smith , and Parker Messick are heading to Philadelphia, breaking a historic streak. Jose Ramirez had been elected to five consecutive All-Star games, but an injury prevented him from joining the squad this year . Their snub is Chase DeLauter , whose .757 OPS as a rookie was not enough to make the squad. Cleveland finishes the first half with the Twins and Marlins on the road.
#11: St Louis Cardinals (-)
The Cardinals are 47-40 after taking two of three from the Braves and the Cubs. They are cementing themselves in the NL Wild Card race with strong play throughout the first half. They are sending Jordan Walker to the All-Star Game thanks to his incredible bounce-back season , but that is not enough. Riley O'Brien leads the NL in saves and has been a big reason the Red Birds have won close games. The Cardinals host the Brewers and the Braves before the break.
#12: Seattle Mariners (-)
The Mariners are finally moving in the right direction, taking two of three from the Los Angeles Angels and the Toronto Blue Jays . They have a 1.5-game lead in the AL West, which has finally turned into a real division race. Randy Arozarena is their only All-Star representative , which is fair given how bad they've been this year. Logan Gilbert is the only legit snub thanks to his 114 strikeouts, but many of Seattle's All-Star-caliber players have been bad this year.
#13: Texas Rangers (-)
The Rangers started the week by taking two of three from the Guardians , but dropped two of three to the Tigers over the weekend. They have fallen behind the Mariners in the division race, but there is plenty of time to go. Reliever Jacob Latz is the only All-Star on Texas, which ignores how good Josh Jung has been this year. He leads the AL with 22 doubles, and considering Jose Ramirez is out, he could have been considered at third base. The Rangers finish the first half against the Angels and Astros.
#14: Pittsburgh Pirates (+1)
The Pirates are one game over .500 after splitting four games with the Phillies and taking two of three from the Nationals. They lost their ninth consecutive Paul Skenes start , but he was still named a National League All-Star. Brandon Lowe should be joining him, as he has been spectacular in his first season with the Buccos. His .815 OPS is higher than Ozzie Albies ' .767 mark. Braxton Ashcraft also has an argument thanks to his 3.24 ERA. The Pirates host the Braves and Brewers to close out the first half.
#15: Miami Marlins (+3)
Dennis Lee-Imagn Images
The Marlins split four with the Rockies before sweeping the Athletics, peaking at seven games over .500. Eury Perez threw seven perfect innings in West Sacramento on Sunday, but he is not an All-Star. Miami's representatives are Max Meyer and Otto Lopez , both fine choices. But Perez showed on Sunday why he is an up-and-coming star in the NL, and he should have been rewarded for that. The Fish are firmly in the race after an electric June and a great start to July. They close the first half with the Mariners and Guardians at home.
#16: Toronto Blue Jays (-2)
The Blue Jays took two of three from the Mets and dropped two to the Mariners, staying six games below .500. Now that Kawhi Leonard is a Raptor and Canada is out of the World Cup, attention will be turned back to the Jays. They aren't doing enough to earn that attention right now. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Ernie Clement, Dylan Cease, and Louis Varland are All-Stars , and Tyler Rodgers should be joining them. But four All-Stars feel like plenty for a bad team. The Blue Jays visit the Giants and Padres to finish the first half.
#17: Washington Nationals (-1)
The Nationals remain one game over .500 after taking two of three from the Red Sox and dropping two to the Pirates. They are still hanging around the race, which no one expected them to do at the beginning of the season. CJ Abrams and James Wood are the only Nationals All-Stars, which is indicative of the season so far. But Luis Garcia Jr. has a great argument to make the team, thanks to 19 homers, 64 RBI, and a .874 OPS. The Nationals host the Astros and Yankees this week.
#18: Athletics (-1)
The Athletics continue to bungle any chance they had at winning the AL West. The Rangers, Mariners, and Astros left them plenty of space to take over. Now, they are eight games under .500, 5.5 games back of the division lead, and Brent Rooker is out for the year. Shea Langeliers and Nick Kurtz are headed to the All-Star Game as starters, but Tyler Soderstrom was left behind. Soderstrom is the only other Athletic with an .800 OPS and over 65 games played. The A's visit the Tigers and White Sox to finish the first half.
#19: Baltimore Orioles (-)
The Orioles continue to struggle as the first half comes to a close, dropping two of three to the White Sox and taking two from the Reds. They are seven games below .500 and 12 games behind the Rays for the top spot in the division. But one hot week will get them back in the Wild Card race. The Orioles are only sending Adley Rutschman to Philly, which ignores the consistency that Pete Alonso has brought to the lineup in his first season. Baltimore closes the first half with the Cubs and the Royals at home.
#20: Houston Astros (+2)
Thomas Shea-Imagn Images
The Astros dropped two of three to the Twins to start the week, but bounced back with a series win over the Rays. Yordan Alvarez smoked a walk-off homer against Tampa , proving why he is Houston's lone All-Star representative. Josh Hader 's injury takes him out of contention, but he is the only other Houston player worthy of All-Star consideration. It's been a bad year in Houston, but they are still in the AL race. They finish the first half with the Nationals and Rangers at home.
#21: Arizona Diamondbacks (-)
The Diamondbacks took two of three from the Giants and dropped two to the Brewers, staying one game below .500. Despite the weak play from the rest of the NL West, they are way out of the race because of the Dodgers' greatness. Corbin Carroll and Eduardo Rodriguez are headed to the All-Star Game, but Ketel Marte should be joining them. Marte has more hits, homers, and RBI than Carroll this season , and is the guy left behind from the Snakes. The Diamondbacks visit the Padres and Dodgers to finish the first half.
#22: Cincinnati Reds (-2)
The Reds are reeling, dropping three of four to the Brewers and two of three to the Orioles last week. After a strong start, they have been the NL Central team to falter in the second quarter of the season. Sal Stewart and Chase Burns are headed to the All-Star Game , which is the perfect result from Cincinnati. Elly De La Cruz needed to be better after his injury to make the team, but he did not. Cincy hosts the Phillies and the Cubs before the break.
#23: Minnesota Twins (-)
The Twins took two of three from the Astros and the Yankees, moving to 44-47 on the season. Byron Buxton is back on the shelf, but Minnesota's offense still caught fire in the blistering-hot Bronx over the weekend. Buxton is an All-Star starter, and Joe Ryan is joining him in Philly, but Ryan Jeffers should be joining them. An injury has limited him to 37 games this year, but Jeffers was among the best AL catchers before the injury. Not necessarily a snub, but Jeffers should be there. The Twins host the Guardians and the Angels this week.
#24: Boston Red Sox (-)
The Red Sox dropped two of three to the Nationals but bounced back with a sweep of the Angels. At 40-48, their season is far from over after a recent hot stretch. Ranger Suarez and Aroldis Chapman are headed to Philly, but Willson Contreras should be joining them. Recent suspension notwithstanding, Contreras has been the most consistent offensive bat in Boston this year. But he won't be joining them in Philly and will be out for the rest of the first half. Sonny Gray should also be in the mix considering his brilliance in Garrett Crochet 's absence. They visit the White Sox and the Mets before the break.
#25: Detroit Tigers (-)
Brad Penner-Imagn Images
The Tigers have the best record in the majors since June 1 at 18-12. They are still ten games below .500, but the weak American League is keeping them alive. Dillon Dingler , Kevin McGonigle, and Riley Greene are headed to the All-Star Game, but Tarik Skubal is not. His injury absence plays a big role in that, but MLB should have stepped in and added him to the roster. Not only is he the AL's best pitcher when healthy, but the trade deadline content would have been spectacular . The Tigers finish the first half with the Athletics and the Phillies at home.
#26: New York Mets (-)
The Mets dropped two of three to both the Blue Jays and the Braves, with one game left against Atlanta on Monday. They are 37-53 on the season, falling close to elimination from the playoffs. Juan Soto is an All-Star after last year's ridiculous snub , and he is New York's only representative. Luke Weaver should be going, however, as he is currently riding a 23-appearance streak without allowing a run. The Mets host the Royals and the Red Sox after finishing the Braves' series.
#27: Kansas City Royals (-)
The Royals continue to be among the worst teams in baseball, getting swept by the Rays and splitting the first two with the Phillies. They'll finish that Philly series on Monday in Kansas City. Bobby Witt Jr. and Michael Wacha are headed to the All-Star Game, which is generous considering their 36-54 record. Jac Caglianone has put up some nice stats, but it was too little too late for him to make the team. The Royals finish the first half with the Mets and Orioles on the road after finishing the Phillies series.
#28: San Francisco Giants (-)
The Giants have been among the most disappointing teams in the league this year, dropping two of three to both the Diamondbacks and Rockies this week. Luis Arraez and Logan Webb are headed to the All-Star Game amid trade rumors surrounding both. San Francisco insists they are not trading Webb , but Arraez can use the Mid-Summer Classic as a showcase. Bryce Eldridge put up the offensive stats necessary for an All-Star bid, but he does not bring any defensive value as a DH. The Giants face the Blue Jays and the Rockies to finish the first half.
#29: Los Angeles Angels (-)
The Angels went 0-6 last week, getting swept by the Mariners and the Red Sox, falling to 36-55 on the season. They have the worst record in the AL, a half-game behind the Royals, and have no chance of making the playoffs. A change in general manager is big, but it won't do anything for this year. Mike Trout is the All-Star representative once again for the Halos, and he deserves it. An injury may prevent Trout from starting the game , which would be a shame in front of his hometown fans. Jose Soriano deserves a look as an All-Star thanks to an epic start to the season, but was not selected. The Angels play the Rangers and Twins to finish off the first half.
#30: Colorado Rockies (-)
Isaiah J. Downing-Imagn Images
The Rockies remain in the final spot of the MLB Power Rankings, even after a strong week. They split four games with the Marlins and took two of three from the Giants, moving to 37-54 on the season. They won their 37th game on August 20 last year. The Rockies are sending Hunter Goodman to Philadelphia, but TJ Rumfield should be joining him. The rookie first baseman has a higher OPS than the catcher and was a Phillies draft pick. The Rockies finish the first half against the Dodgers and the Giants on the road.
